Being honored as the 2025 Spotlight Award recipient at the Indianapolis Black Documentary Film Festival is particularly meaningful to me given the alignment of the festival's mission with the consistent themes of my film work.

Many thanks to fest founder Dr. Eric Winston and the entire IBDFF team/family (past and present) for their tremendous support and tireless dedication to finding and exhibiting meaningful stories from and about the culture. Also, much appreciation to documentarian Jerald Harkness, the 2022 Spotlight Award recipient, for taking the time to attend, view our film "The Light of Truth" on opening night, and presenting me the award with such positive words.
