Today would have been @jennynewellokanagan's 50th birthday, so we celebrated her tonight at @provisionsatkettle with tasty food, whisky that she was a part of making, and finally replicating her trademark license plate onto the wall - an effort for a group that is not overly artistic. Thanks to Courtney and Brock for providing the blank canvas (concrete block) and to Jeannette for tracking down all the art supplies - including carbon paper for tracing! We had some laughs and we shed a few tears. Jenny, we love you and miss you. ❤️

Such a great performance by @thematineemusic at the grand re-opening weekend of @thedreampenticton last night. I've seen them perform several times over the past 10-15 years and they're always so entertaining to watch! Fun ladies' night out with @amovingfeast and @alleymoyes.

And dancing is now legally allowed in the space (one of those *fun* liquor licensing limitations with the previous food-primary license 🙄). I look forward to seeing how this new iteration of The Dream evolves.

Pulled out the canning supplies for the first (and likely last) time this year to make some green tomato relish, after having used my last jar to accompany @amovingfeast's rappie pie last month. Green tomatoes from Blossom Fruit Stand in Trout Creek.

A pretty good September Saturday - a mix of exercise, food and art! Wandered the @pentictonfarmersmarket for the first time in a few months and grabbed a delicious cherry tomato danish from @dana.bakes.cooks for breakfast. Did a few dog walks and went to the gym. Met up with @alleymoyes to check out Artiverse 2026, while sipping some @orofino_winery Riesling at @pentictonartscouncil followed by some Amontillado sherry and tapas at @chulotapas!

Such a great show tonight from @stevepattersoncomedian at @rotarycentreforthearts in Kelowna! My cheeks and abs are still sore from laughing so much. I expected good comedy, but I did not expect the vocal talents - funny original songs, including a revamp to the Canadian anthem. Thanks to @amovingfeast for organizing!

Stopped in to @creekandgully for some Bartlett pears, Gala and Mac apples (they also had softball-sized peaches) today after a walk on the KVR. Fresh, ripe, tasty fruit, and only $1/lb on Sundays!

#inmyglass tonight is the 2025 @enterrewines (from @terravistavineyards) Riesling. This comes from two blocks of Riesling in the shared vineyard in Okanagan Falls. Aromas and flavours of lemon, lime, Granny Smith apple, light floral notes and fresh nectarine. Bright, mouthwatering acidity, a hint of sweetness, a lovely texture and a long finish.
