Tomorrow, I will officially become an alumna of the illustrious Tennessee State University, debt free, in only 3 1/2 years. 💙

I’m so grateful I took a chance on myself and moved six and a half hours away from home to somewhere so new. I know I wouldn’t be who I am today without taking that of leap of faith. Thank you so much to my family and village for holding me up through every high and low moment. 💞

My degree doesn’t just represent my technical skills, but a journey filled with transformative experiences, unforgettable memories, and growth that shaped me into the women I am today.

It’s surreal that this chapter is coming to an end, but I’m beyond grateful to say that I am officially an HBCU Graduate. I now stand in the legacy of my ancestors and family members that have come before me. It is now time for me to chart my own path and step into this new chapter of life.🎓

My first love and my first org. Thank you for becoming my first home at TSU at a time where i felt so lost. Ik I didn’t fully understand what I was stepping when I came to audition my sophomore year, but it’s been the one of the best decisions I ever made. You all have given me a home away from home, and a platform to grow into fearless woman I am today. It has truly been a blessing to be a member and grow my gifts within the organization.

To my sister Ari,
God placed us in each other’s lives right on time, and we have been attached at the hip since we met. We are both used to being an only girl, but we are genuinely the sisters I never knew I needed. Thank you for always being a shoulder to cry on and someone I can always count on. You have seen me at my best and my worst, and you’ve really shown me what it means to be a true friend. We have been locked in 4L, but now it will really mean something different. You can always count on me, no matter what or how far I am. I don’t doubt we are going to reach every dream we’ve set out for ourselves, and I’ll always be in your corner to cheer you on. Finish out strong, and I’ll be waiting for you to join me as a graduate of TSU. 💞

Ugh, where do I begin. You have been there for me since day 1. You’ve helped to mentor me and push me out of my comfort zone more times than once, never letting me forget what I am capable of. Your determination and dedication is something I’ve always admired about you and try to replicate. I know you will continue to do amazing things as the years go on.
Thank you for always showing up for me, being a listening ear, seeing something in me, and giving me your very best every time. You have really outdone yourself as a mentor and father figure in and outside of AMT. Baby Diamond loves you foreverrr!💎
