Coming December 2026.

What happens when a police department reviews the conduct of its own personnel?

This independent, non-monetized short documentary will examine documented materials concerning LVMPD Internal Affairs and the handling of matters involving Detective Jason Vallad #12961 and Sergeant Russell Shoemaker #14458.

The documentary will be available free to the public.

The focus will be on the underlying source material: public records, body-worn camera footage, CAD records, Axon records, officer notes, civilian video, recorded audio, court records, agency communications, and other lawfully obtained materials.

Where records or statements conflict, those differences will be presented in context. Allegations will be identified as allegations, documented records will be shown for what they contain, and commentary will be distinguished from the underlying evidence.

The purpose is not to tell viewers what conclusion to reach. The purpose is to present the material so people can watch it, listen to it, read it, and evaluate it for themselves.

Independent documentary. Not affiliated with or endorsed by LVMPD.

Here at Oasis, there’s something for everyone. 🌴
Monday through Thursday, train at the same time as your kids 7 years old and up at 5:30pm. Train at the 6:30pm class and there’s plenty of activities for your kids to do or tables to get their homework done. Grab a coffee, açaí bowl, and relax if you don’t want to train while your kids are in class. Or feel free to use our weight training area to get your own workout in while they’re in class.

Our Oasis, is your Oasis 🌴🥋☕️🍵

Trial class options for kids 4+ and adults available. Visit oasisjj.com or text/call 702-409-8933 for more information.
