Another sketchbook page in the books.

This one is inspired by a stunning photo my friend took in Annecy. I had a blast chasing those warm sunset colors and loose reflections with Copics. Swipe to see the value sketch before I bought a few colors.

Props to @mylene.goyer for capturing such a beautiful moment and for having such a great eye for composition. It made for an incredibly fun piece to draw. 🫶🏼

Durin’s Bane was a fun one… eventually. 😅 The real battle was convincing these Copics to cooperate. Lots of experimenting, a few questionable decisions, and plenty of trust in the process. Happy with where it landed.

Slipping this in just before the clock strikes midnight on #kaijune 😅

I had a lot of fun exploring the contrast between rugged organic textures and heavy mechanical forms on this one. There’s something satisfying about blending organic with inorganic and seeing where the design lands.
