It's hard to believe it's already been a year since we lost our friend, Randall Harris.Before we get too far into the holiday weekend, I'd ask you to take a few minutes to watch this tribute and reflect on what the world lost. Randall was one of those people who left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him, and his legacy continues to live on through his family, friends, and the wakeboard community.To honor Randall and help support his daughter through the Harmony Fund, the Vandall Memorial Auction is now live. Crazy to think this image by @adam_dodd_photographer was taken and published in @wakeboardingmag 22 years ago. The set up was at @blackdiamondwake not long after Scotty and Sal purchased their property, it was a blank canvas before they turned it into the Diamond as it is known and enjoyed today. My favourite part of this image is Odd in the rear view mirror getting excited. by @vintagewakeboards

1998 Blindside @charleypatterson 142. This was one of Charley’s personal boards. Huge shout out to motocross legend Marc Matson @fishin_motox for the hookup and @brannonmeek for packaging it. @sidewayzfilms shooting with Steve Wahlman! When Wahlman isn’t getting into bar fights or robbing gas stations he is somewhere in California giving flight lessons raising his 4 kids. Steve is a super friendly human. I can see his smile in my head. Probably the nicest guy in wakeboarding besides maybe Pat Panakos. Although he might be the hardest guy to find. This is some retransferred 16mm @kodak footage from the film Switch 22! Filmed by @brookswilliamferrell at Lake Picket. The guy with the best laugh in the industry, @doylelife. Well some people might argue that title belongs to @tonyfinngoingbig @sidewayzfilms and Gator Boards teamed up to make Transgression that was released in 2007. It blows my mind to think that this was 19 years ago. It was our last full length wakeboard film. Thank you @eriklutgert for some of the best memories of my life. I think we all feel the same. In the beginning, there was straps and gloves and ski boards with pointy tips.This was an event called Team Challenge from 1994? It’s hard to remember anything before yesterday, but it was a long time ago before these guys were Grandparents! Hope you enjoy these early days of wakeboarding. This was from the film High Wake Drifters. It was a @sidewayzfilms and Gravity Films. Filmed by @brookswilliamferrell & @dvanzura back when they were a lot prettier. by @vintagewakeboards

Listening to the latest episode of @bonifaybanter inspired me to pull out some of Randall‘s boards. He started with O’Brien on the original double ender which is not in the photo. After O’Brien, he went to Sound with his first pro model. Then went to Wake Tech and rode a couple of different boards, but mainly the blunt. Then he went onto Thruster, Gator, O’Brien again, Mutiny and Company. There’s probably one I’m missing. @wbvandall #VintageWakeboards by @vintagewakeboards
