LOOK 01 Introducing CIVIC, VINTU’s permanent wardrobe. Designed around habit, structure and craft, CIVIC is an ongoing study of the garments we return to most with 100% natural fibres. Rather than following seasons, it grows over time, piece by piece, release by release. This is the first look from the opening release. 24.07.2026 Model : @goldenchild.14 Photography : @_the__outlet #slowfashionsouthafrica #wardrobeessentials #africanfashion #localbrand by @vintu_sa
FOR US, BY US. Our first event as part of @designweeksouthafrica brought us together for a raw and honest conversation about creating on the continent : identity, ownership, the barriers we face and what it takes to build on our own terms. Thank you to our panelists for speaking openly and sharing your experiences. And to everyone who came, listened, questioned and connected: you made this an embodiment of community. @boytchie_ @internetathi @awonkemoko you all were so amazing! We’re eternally grateful to have you kick off this journey. Thank you to @fash_rev_southafrica for opening your space to us and supporting this vision. Would not have pulled this off without you!❤️ We left feeling deeply optimistic about the future of creativity on the continent. There is so much talent, conviction and possibility here. Growing this community means turning those conversations into connections, collaboration and opportunities for one another. To everyone who came, we’re grateful to have started with you! And here’s to many many more. This is only the beginning! by @vintu_sa

Parking is limited too , consider an Uber, sharing a ride, or leaving a little extra time for a stroll from your parking spot. See you tomorrow! by @vintu_sa
MEET YOUR HOST & MODERATOR — AMANDA TROM. Founder and Creative Director of VINTU, a Pan-African luxury fashion brand rooted in identity, craftsmanship and cultural expression. Through VINTU, Amanda explores what it means to create on the continent, challenging conventional narratives of African fashion while championing creativity, experimentation and community. *For Us, By Us* was born from a desire to take these conversations beyond fashion, bringing together voices from different creative disciplines to question who defines our value, how we remain authentic as we grow, and what it means to build stronger communities together. Because creating on our own terms isn’t just about the work we produce, but the spaces and opportunities we create for one another. Join us for **FOR US, BY US**, presented by VINTU as part of Design Week South Africa. #ForUsByUs #VINTU #DesignWeekSouthAfrica by @vintu_sa
BOOK YOUR SEAT — REGISTRATION LINK IN BIO Introducing our last panellist for FOR US, BY US: Awonke Moko. Through initiatives such as Capture by Awonke and Imbewu Africa, he is creating spaces for local creatives to connect, collaborate and amplify their voices. His work raises an important question: How do we move beyond individual success and build creative communities that create opportunities for one another? Join us as we explore what it means to create on the continent, on our own terms. His work raises an interesting question: How do we create freely and authentically in a world that increasingly places commercial value on creativity? Join us as we explore what it means to create on the continent, on our own terms.
