doodle page time! this one's all for aurelia and laura!
aurelia and laura are like sisters. aurelia and laura met in 1998, so during their university years, and quickly became good friends. Laura runs an atmospheric black metal one-person project inspired by her favourite bands and Aurelia is her producer (Aurelia is actually a student of physics and sees music more as mathematical equations rather than notes, hence she has such good skills). The girls are both dorks at heart and can talk about music and gossip for hours, Laura has never felt more confident when spending time with her friend 🖤aurelia and patryk r cousins, i think they just got the natural kindness where anyone they hang out with feels incredibly safe and relaxed w/ them

anyways, as a way to start drawing again, i decided to draw the two winners of the latest poll on who i should talk abt more! ilona and patryk have a very sweet relationship, they often have each other's backs and ilona feels very safe around pat. they do each other's makeup platonically, do embroidery and engage in vulture culture together. pat understands ilona's loneliness and need for friends, as he once used to be the pushover kid who everyone ignored. they have a very sweet relationship yk?

i didnt know how to handle the background so i just returned to my old ways of trying to imitate jc leyendecker and norman rockwell's prints from the saturday evening post ❤️

Aurelia is explaining math to her sister, the 11 year old Katarzyna "Kasia". Kasia is a dreamer, her head is always stuck in clouds and she def prefers doodling princesses and cats rather than trying to understand geometry. She loves riding her bike, trying to style her hair like her sister's, getting into trouble and the color turquise. Aurelia is called "Ms. Einstein" by her, because of her wide knowledge on the topic. She's a student of physics at AMU and wants to become a music producer in the future. Patryk is their cousin, or should I say, half-cousin. Patryk's father is the half-brother of the girls' dad, hence the different last name, being Wolniewicz, rather than Dąbrowski. The trio still has a very close bond and treat each other like siblings. Patryk in fact lives with them in their house, his parents are working abroad in Germany and have no time for him. thank u for reading !!

Sylwester and Kamil had been friends since they were around 12 years old. They met in the same middle school and bonded over being very young, beginner metalheads, with Sylwek more of a thrash/death metal fan and Kamil dipping his toes into black metal. It's like they were inseperable, got into trouble, walked around old, abandoned buildings, listened to music, all together. Kamil was considered a golden child, he performed academically incredibly well and always received scholarships. Sylwek was more of an average student, but was never really jealous of his friend, he just had a different attitude.
It all came crushing down when the two have grown up and started to drift apart at around 19. Kamil was too immature, naive and too goofy for Sylwek, who was still struggling from everything that has happened in his home life, ever since he was born, and still struggling with the trauma and PTSD from it. He felt like he needed to grow up, and slowly begun pushing away those close to him. Kamil couldn't understand his friend and neither could Sylwek with the former's struggles, as he despised his parents for pushing him into education, so much so that Kamil failed his matura intentionally, as a way to rebel against them. That all bottled up in first, Kamil being kicked out of Aurelia's band in September of 1998 and then cutting everyone off, and then, as he goes missing in late march of 1999 and Sylwester becomes filled with immense guilt, hatred of himself and a feeling that he has failed his best friend because of the dark place he was in mentally. Sylwek misses him dearly and is determined to find him with the gang, as all begin to think they misjudged him, for all he was, was just a 19-20 year old with an environment that failed him, with adults too irresponsible to care about him properly.
