SAT 23 MAY: Nyege Nyege artist Violence Gratuite performs live at Dwam this Saturday, bringing her DIY-pop explorations and avant garde productions to @90mil___ .

A multidisciplinary artist & curator, @violence.gratuite has spent the last few years sharpening her creative perspective, releasing Baleine à Boss’, on @hakuna.kulala in 2024. The release marked not only her first venture into music production, but also her first experiments with music software. The result is a bewildering set of profoundly polished tracks, invoking a beguiling haze of chanson, rap, no wave and experimental electronics.

A multidisciplinary artist and curator, Violaine Morgan Le Fur (aka Violence Gratuite) has spent the last few years sharpening her creative perspective, developing documentaries, producing exhibitions, and directing music videos and short films.

'Baleine à Boss' isn't just her debut album, but her first venture into music production; Le Fur had only begun to experiment with music software a few weeks before dubbing the record, a fact that makes this unique set only more bewildering. Singing and vocalizing candidly and producing each track alone, she sounds profoundly polished, invoking a beguiling haze of chanson, rap, no wave and experimental electronics that hovers around the margins of pop and the avant-garde.

🎶 Retour sur le concert de @violence.gratuite organisé en collaboration avec @nyegenyege.mirrorworld.

Violaine Morgan Le Fur, aka Violence Gratuite, a enflammé la Place du Jeu de Balle avec son premier album "Baleine à Boss".

Chantant et vocalisant avec franchise, elle a envoûté le public dans son univers mêlant chanson, rap, no wave et musique électronique expérimentale, à la frontière entre pop et avant-garde.

Chantant et vocalisant avec franchise, et produisant chaque morceau seule, elle dégage une grande maturité artistique, créant une atmosphère envoûtante mêlant chanson, rap, no wave et musique électronique expérimentale, à la frontière entre la pop et l’avant-garde.

❣️SATURDAY 23 MAY ❣️Dwam’s spring edition welcomes Nyege Nyege artist, @violence.gratuite, bringing her avant garde explorations to 90mil. Her productions draw from a mesmerising blend of DIY-pop, trap, rap, no wave & experimental electronics.

@dingy_dysu is the masked alter-ego of Daisuke Imamura, the eerie producer spawned from Berlin’s underground hip-hop scene, casting sonic rituals steeped in distorted basslines, ghostly glitches and industrial dread.

Producer & multi-instrumentalist @jana.wav joins from Cairo to play after the live sets, delivering a heady mix of hip-hop, deconstructed club, and bass-forwards sounds.

Dancer & multi-disciplinary artist @phoenixchasem returns to Dwam after nearly a year since her last performance.

A long-time friend of Dwam, the vinyl selectress & @exude_records label head, @damiana.rec, joins from Portugal with her multi-genre concoctions, going b2b with Dwam founder @miri__malek for the opening hours.
