over the years I have taken so many photos and constantly ran out of storage on my phone. last year, I transfered them all onto a hard drive, and over the past few months sorted through my thousands of photos to save all the pictures of Violet I had. these are the last of my favorites 🩷 by @violet.bb.princess

To my best friend,

Three months have passed since you left my life forever.. My heart hurts so much knowing I will never see you again. I wish more than anything that I could hold you forever, and have you in my life always. Your memory will always live with me, but it breaks my heart that that's the only place you are anymore. All our memories are so fresh on my mind. You will always be my closest, most cherished friend. I love you more than anything, Violet. I was never more proud of anything in my life than to have you, to be yours, and for you to be mine. You were really my baby.

It has taken me this long to write this because my love for you is so fierce, and my loss now is so heavy and overflowing. Since you've been gone, I've had thoughts randomly, wondering where in the house you are, expecting you to be in your favorite spots still. And then I realize, I remember you won't be there ever again. That tears me apart.

You were the best pet I could ever have. I am so deeply thankful to have met you, for our lives to have crossed paths for any time at all. I found you in a pet store in 2018 and I knew you were the one for me. You were 7 years old then, and I knew our time together would be shorter than if you were a kitten, but I was so proud to be your momma. The years went by so fast.

Our time together was so, so amazing. Maybe it was extremely hard, during many times with my life, but you were always there for me, through every phase, and outlasting nearly every fleeting human friendship I had in that time.

You were my soulmate. I thought this many times with you. You were so gentle, so loving, so friendly and brave. When I had depressive episodes, you would meow to me from outside my door or sit on my chest, and meow loudly into my face. I might have felt so drained from my emotions, but getting up to feed you, to spend time with you, helped me so much. You helped me build a routine that I was struggling to find. by @violet.bb.princess
