35 and feeling… kinda fine? Not fine? Idk😂
This birthday is about learning to give myself grace.
Overwhelmed. Overstimulated. Overtouched.
Wondering if I’ll ever feel like myself again.
Wondering if my relationships with friends will ever be the same.
Wondering if I’ll get my spark back.
Full of wonder. 💭
That’s what life feels like now. Despite the internal battles I’m fighting daily now, life is WONDERFUL✨
It’s not always butterflies, but overall, I feel like I have a whole new life, seeing it through the eyes of my baby (soon to be toddler, which also checks out why I’m NOT okay😅)
Almost one full year postpartum, and I understand why it is such a taboo topic sometimes.
Yes you’re on cloud 9 half the time, but the other half can get pretty dark and sometimes lonely.
I blame the sleep deprivation playing tricks on my brain.
But this is all just a phase, a monumental transition into the new woman and mother I’m becoming.
I know this too shall pass, and that this is the best version of myself, even if I struggle to see it just yet.🪷

Almost a whole year has fallen away just like the leaves…
I can quite literally not fathom how insane it is I already almost have a toddler… where did my baby go😭🍂
This handsome, silly, CRAZY lil guy. I love you so much my heart feels like bursting every day.. instead I just burst into tears regularly🫠
This past month…
You’ve been standing on your own and are letting go of support more often. You took your first mobile assisted steps with your little cart🦶🏻
You love to read your books, you turn the pages yourself, or bring them over to us to read to you. You’ve said words already, & you always point to the moon and give him kisses in all your books🌝
You love to blow kisses🥹💋
You love to sing along to your favorite songs… you’ve got so much to say you definitely will be a yapper like your mama😂
You’ve done so well with learning your sign language to let us know what you want, from more, to food, to up👆🏻👉🏻👈🏻
You graduated from wearing your helmet! So proud of you🥹
Becoming Disney parents was not on our bingo card, but here we are sharing a world we both grew up with you now
Getting to see it through your eyes has been a whole new experience🏰🐭💓
Mama can’t wait to celebrate your first birthday next month surrounded by so many loved ones who all love & prayed for you

Getting to take my baby to Disneyland for the first time was an unforgettable memory I’ll treasure forever…

I grew up coming here regularly, so getting to see him take it all in just like I got to was so special
I know he’s too little to remember, but we always will🤍
Gotta take advantage of him being free his first few years while mama & dada get some much needed steps in😂
After not being here for 10+ years, it was a whole new experience bringing my son and seeing it through his eyes🥹
I can’t express what a lust for life you’ve given me son

10 m o n t h s with our sweet, disco baby 🍒🪩✨
How we’re only 2 months away from a year is beyond me
This past month has been a whirlwind🤪
Mommy started planning your first birthday and it’s made me sooo emotional as I spend my days reminiscing on when you were a little pea🫛
More teeth breaking through (4 total now), restless sleep, chasing you all over the freaking house, exploring all the foods (and picking them up off the floor)
You mastered a straw cup overnight🥤
We took you out and about more despite the insane heat this past month brought🔥
You love seeing the world!
You pull yourself up on everything & start to dance, and you’ve even stood a few times on your own already
You scale furniture so fast, but you crawl even faster
I’m fearful for when you start walking😅
You’re super opinionated and excited about everything, continuing to vocalize and yell when you see something new🗯️

You’ve been glued to your mama more than ever lately, which leaves me in a constant state of bittersweetness… wanting to freeze time & bottle these moments up, while also desperately trying to regain just a little bit of my sanity…🌀
You’ve taught me so much about myself already in these last months papa. Humbled me down to my knees🙏🏻
I am so grateful for the lessons you are teaching me, how much you’ve grounded me, how you make me reassess what’s important…

I’ll never forget how I felt taking these photos with you in my belly… how unbearably excited I felt, knowing literally the next night I’d be induced to start the long process of bringing you earth side
Zero fear, pure curiosity and anxiousness to see your features
I could’ve never imagined how beautiful you’d be…
You help me see so much more color in this world, which is crazy after thinking I’d already seen so much🌈

So fun getting to take the babies to their first show!
& a trance show at that!!!🎶
Baby Jude got to hear Fiji live🥹🤍
Ate allllll the goodies, double fisted milk teas & got to groove
Jude had (and devoured) his first bone marrow🦴
Go figure I took zero photos of everything consumed🙃
Much needed night out of the baby routine!

Grateful to be able to make memories with our son doing things we did before he was here. Full circle moment!⭕️

Your first summer & it’s been a HOT one!🔥
You love all the (secretly healthy) popsicles I’ve made you this past month. They’re soothing on your gums & now TWO teeth! 🦷
You’re getting huge… I can’t believe how fast you’re growing when I compare one month to the next🤯
Your golden head of hair is my most favorite thing ever. You already have way more hair than I did by 1 years old😂
You are so silly, attached to your mama, and absolutely crazy sometimes. You can’t sit still and just wanna climb everything😵‍💫
We’ve had lots of fun swimming this past month, with more to come as we enjoy your first summer🌞💦

You are so beautiful and perfect I can’t even believe you’re real sometimes still.
These moments are so fleeting, time slipping away like a sunset on the horizon. One week to the next, already almost a whole year of learning and growing together💫
It’s so bittersweet wanting to freeze time while also being so excited to meet the future you, to watch your personality continue to unfold.

Boy oh boy! What a past month it’s been…
Your first tooth JUST broke through before you turned 8 months officially! All the fussiness, red cheeks and chaos makes sense now… poor lil guy🦷
You’re as fast and slippery as a dolphin zipping around the house. I set you down and you’re instantly across the room trying to pull a plant down or to go say hi to your kitty’s 🐈‍⬛
You’ve been pulling yourself up on any and everything, shimmying around despite being super wobbly.
You have no fear!😵‍💫
You’re truly enjoying foods now, and have had so much fun exploring flavors and textures. Even though now a lot is ending up in your hair🙃🍎🍐🍌🍉🫐🥑🥦🥕🍠🍳
Sleep has been rough. We’ll just leave it at that.🥴
You got your spaceman helmet this past month, so we can get your noggin shaped JUST right. You’ve handled it like a champ, much better than mommy & daddy. But I must say you’re the cutest thing ever in it!⛑️

You’re a massive ball of crazy energy and I am just trying to keep up every day. But I shouldn’t be surprised with how crazy your mama was for so many years🌀🙃⚡️

Throwback to a little girly get away last month for my baby sister’s 30th birthday 🎂🧡💕✨Better late than never🤷🏼‍♀️
First time being away from my baby but had to show up for my not so little sis. It’s hard being a new mom and finding balance, but it was a really special weekend with her girls celebrating.
Horseback riding, charcuterie boards and late night games, all with a beautiful view and lots of sparkles🍹
