POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One whole week of Storm! 💚⚡️Thank you for listening to the song and indulging all three of my personalities in these visuals xo

Side note: I’ve noticed in conversations lately that we are very good as a culture at putting things into one of two categories - what makes us money and what doesn’t. Music and creativity to me sits outside both of these binaries. It’s a part of me and always has been. So to whatever quirk of nature or nurture gave me the gift and ability for songs to come into my head and out of my mouth, I’ll keep being grateful and putting my creativity out there because without it and our songs and stories, who even are we? Boring people who just make money, maybe😉 PS screw AI xo

This one has been a long time coming. I actually started writing Storm as a voice note on a little walk around the Yarra River back in 2019.

In the years since, she’s come together in fragments and bits of voice notes before I brought her into a writing session with Elle @itsemeree earlier this year.

I don’t think this song would be what it is without Elle’s magic 🪄 As a producer, she just GOT my vision but just as importantly, she helped me kill some of my darlings and re-inject some sass and tongue in cheek humour into the song 🤭

I’m so proud of how this song has turned out. I hope you love it too. If even one person sees themselves reflected in Storm, then my job here is done ❤️‍🔥
