This one has been in the works for a while.

We grew up on Afrojack & Martin Garrix – Turn Up The Speakers, so we wanted to put our own spin on a track that’s meant a lot to us over the years.

After sending it around and getting some great feedback, we decided to stop waiting and just put it out.

It’s now available as a FREE DOWNLOAD on SoundCloud for DJs, producers, and anyone who wants it.

If you play it in a set or use it in a mix, tag @virenstrom and @djgasdrop we’d love to hear it.

I usually stay out of drama, but facts matter. Recently, I’ve been accused of relying solely on AI and lacking originality. Here’s the reality.

I’ve been producing music long before AI was even a conversation. This specific track originated from my 2017 production archives, the timestamp is in the video on the track itself. My history with Ableton and production goes back well beyond that, under different credits.

All that’s been done here is reopening an older project and modernizing it with current tools to refine what I originally composed. Using updated techniques to evolve your own past work shouldn’t be taboo. If revisiting and improving your own ideas is a problem, that’s a much bigger industry issue than one person experimenting with new tools.

This isn’t about pointing fingers. I’m here, as I’ve always been, to create, evolve, and push my sound forward so people can enjoy it the same way I do. That’s exactly what this is, growth, not shortcuts. If that’s going to be scrutinized, then this industry looks very different from the one I stepped into 15 years ago. taken in New York, New York by @virenstrom

Writer’s block is awesome.

You sit down to make something new.

Instead, you spend an hour digging through old tracks, find something that actually slaps, and immediately decide you’re going to finish it.

Then you realize you have no idea where the project is.

No idea where the stems are.

No idea what computer you made it on.

And after discovering there are 336 tracks on my SoundCloud, I’m starting to think the biggest obstacle in my music career might actually be me. #producerlife #edmproducer #ableton #adhd #bigroomneverdies by @virenstrom

People love to talk about what was wrong with nightlife back then.

They rarely talk about moments like this.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, while New Yorkers were rebuilding homes, businesses, and entire communities, Pacha New York partnered with the American Red Cross and RPM Events to hold a benefit event supporting relief efforts.

I was there.

This shirt has survived every apartment move, every life change, and every closet cleanout.

Looking back, it remains one of the most memorable nights I’ve ever experienced.

Not just because of the lineup, which is legendary by today’s standards, but because of what the event represented. As a New Yorker, it was incredible to see artists, promoters, venues, and fans from all over the world come together to help people in my home state during one of the most difficult times in its history.

The atmosphere was different that night. The artists were interacting with everyone, people were there for more than just the music, and there was a genuine sense that the entire community had come together for a greater purpose.

I even had the chance to meet Danny Tenaglia, something I’ll never forget.

A lot of people who weren’t around during that era have no idea events like this happened. Electronic music often gets criticized for what people think it represents, but nights like this showed what it could be at its best: a community.

With Pacha reopening, it felt like the right time to dust this shirt off and remember a small piece of that history.

The lineup aged well.

The reason we were all there aged even better. #Edm #pachanyc #redcross #pacha by @virenstrom
