this is a WIP project i’ve been working on and off of my character, anaïs. she’s still rough around the edges but i rarely make blender posts other than on my stories so i wanted to officially share this.

this is only my second blender project so my style is still developing. i wanted to create something that feels close to my 2D style but it’s kinda reminiscent of spider-verse and every other movie that’s followed that art direction.

***EDITED NOTE***

PROBLEM: for those wondering, the circles at the back of her head are from a clipping issue that wouldn’t show up in the viewport but instead only in the rendered image.

SOLUTION: i selected the vertices in the areas and pushed them to prevent clipping that would show up in the final render. this most likely happened due to flipped normals to get the line art. i initially thought it was a shader problem until i temporarily deleted all the nodes in the material for that hair section.
