The Lovers. August 2026.
Hand carved on Speedball speedy carve 6" × 8".
Most of the details were drawn directly on the block. I really wanted to attempt that rather than fully rendering a detailed drawing then carving. I made a lot of choices in the moment and changed direction a few times. I loved the experience. taken in Trinidad and Tobago by @virtjulie

I preach no gospel, I perform,
Stole your light and made it form
Bow if you wish, but understand:
Authority melts in a mocking hand
Tell me now, who really sins--
The man in robes, or who believes in them?

Midnight Mas, my Midnight Robber linocut print. I printed this on some very pretty pink paper. Quite pleased with how this one turned out.

For NaPoWriMo, here are some visual poetry pieces I've made over the years, the oldest dating back to 2020.
