POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

From a little boy in Rosario with a dream, to the man who made an entire nation dream with him. 🇦🇷💙

We saw the pain. The missed chances. The tears. The years when glory felt just out of reach. Then we saw you lift the trophies Argentina had waited so long for. 🏆

You gave us more than goals and trophies. You gave us memories, hope, and a story that will live forever.

And now, saying goodbye to you in the Argentina shirt hurts more than words can explain. 💔

The shirt will remain. The number 10 will remain. The memories will remain. But football will never feel quite the same without you.

Thank you, Leo, for making us believe.
Gracias por todo, capitán. 🇦🇷🐐

They fought different battles. They carried different nations. But they all knew what it meant to wear the shirt with pride. 🇦🇷🇧🇷🇵🇹

Different generations. Different stories. Different scars.

Some walked away with glory.
Some walked away with heartbreak.
And some gave everything they had until there was nothing left to give.

But legends aren't remembered because their journeys were easy. They're remembered because they kept standing when everything around them had fallen apart.

Years of sacrifice. Years of pressure. Years of carrying millions of dreams on their shoulders.

And when the final chapter eventually comes, there won't be anything left to prove.

Just memories.
Trophies.
Tears.
And a legacy that football will never forget. 🐐⚽

The battlefield changes. The generation changes.
But legends remain forever.

After years of dreams, sacrifices, heartbreaks, comebacks, and unforgettable nights, the journey finally reaches its glorious end. 🇦🇷

From a young boy who left Rosario chasing a dream, to the captain who carried an entire nation on his shoulders. He endured the criticism, the defeats, the missed chances, and the tears. He came back when walking away would have been easier.

And then came the moments that changed everything.

The Copa América. 🏆
The Finalissima. 🏆
The World Cup. 🏆

The trophies that once seemed destined to remain out of reach eventually found their way into his hands.

For years, he gave everything to that shirt. Every sprint. Every touch. Every goal. Every tear. Every ounce of belief.

Now, after an international career spanning generations, the boy from Rosario can finally put down the shirt he wore with pride and walk away knowing he gave Argentina everything he had.

Not every legend gets the ending they deserve.

But Lionel Messi did.

The story that began with a dream ends with a nation celebrating its greatest son.

After all these years, the final chapter has been written.
And what a glorious ending it is. 🇦🇷💙🤍

Thank you, Leo.
For the memories.
For the magic.
For making football feel like art.

The journey ends. The legacy never will. 🐐✨

On July 9, 2006, football witnessed one of its most unforgettable moments. In the World Cup Final between France and Italy, Zinedine Zidane stepped onto the pitch for the last match of his career. He had already delivered brilliance — scoring a delicate Panenka penalty and guiding France through the biggest stage — showing the composure and control that defined his legacy.

But deep into extra time, with the score level, tension turned into history. After a heated exchange with Marco Materazzi, Zidane reacted with a headbutt that stunned the stadium and earned him a red card. The cause? Materazzi verbally abused Zidane's sister after a heated play. France lost their captain before the penalty shootout that crowned Italy champions, and the image of Zidane walking past the World Cup trophy became one of football’s most powerful symbols.

That night became more than a final. It showed how greatness and emotion can collide in a single second — turning a farewell meant for glory into one of the sport’s most unforgettable chapter.
