Thought I'd re-introduce myself.

I'm Wesley Kirk, a photographer, filmmaker, and arts organizer. I've been making movies and shooting photos since I was 13, and have been making a living with a camera since I was 17. Born & raised in Fort Worth, TX. Running my film & photo production company, Vision & Verve is my full-time job, but I also work as a freelance cinematographer, and run the arts advocacy organization @supportfortworthart . I serve on the board of @steerfortworth as the Arts & Culture committee co-chair, and on the board of @riversideartsdistrict . I'm also a woodworker, a gardener, a game master, and a cat dad.

I took some time off to attend TCU's MBA program and to focus on community advocacy work and now I'm back to creating great work for businesses, organizations, and creatives to help them tell their stories. From the the @visionandverve team, we bring you @panthercitypuppets! 🥳

We’ll be promoting our upcoming and coming non-profit this year @artsgoggle, we feel so honored to be invited back for this event. Please keep an eye open for updates on times and locations to meet our special puppets. We’ll be dancing our way down magnolia with stickers and bubble guns.

We’re so excited to expand our project to bring you more fun, more whimsy, and more PUPPETS. Stay tuned!!

RESIDUE

A closer look at Residue by Narong Tintamusik (@narong.tintamusik), currently on view in the Nasher Public Gallery at the Nasher Sculpture Center. The installation features an exhibition score by Saun Santipreecha (@santipreechasaun).

Developed through sculptural and sonic processes, Tintamusik’s installation brings together patinated metal mesh treated with Thai food ingredients, coiled forms, suspended structures, and Santipreecha’s exhibition score. Through repeated cycles of treatment, weathering, recordings, and accumulation, the installation creates an environment shaped by ritual, care, material transformation, and the traces left behind.

Y'all been missing Ampersand the 12 foot tall cat puppet? Well you're in luck because he'll be making an appearance at this year's Open Streets on Saturday, April 26th!

We heard from so many people at ArtsGoggle who either missed the puppets or were hoping to get a better look at them. So we’ve decided to let everyone Meet The Puppets!

This family friendly event will allow everyone a chance to learn how the puppets were built and how they operate. Puppet creator friends from @visionandverve will be on hand to so that you can ask them all sorts of questions about how the puppets work and the secrets to good pupper design. Puppeteers from Vision & Verve will be ready for you to get your photo with the puppets!
