We are honored. 🏆

Too many children in underserved communities can't see the board, can't read the page, can't keep up — not because they lack ability, but because they lack access to something as basic as glasses. Vision To Learn exists to change that.

Yesterday at the California State Capitol, Senator @senbenallen named Vision To Learn the 2026 California Nonprofit of the Year. We are deeply grateful for this recognition — and for the Senator's commitment to the children we serve.
From a single partnership with @LASchools to operations in 15 states, we've provided vision screenings and glasses to more than 3.8 million children, helping over 650,000 get the glasses they need to succeed. At no cost to them or their families.

Thank you, Senator Allen. This honor belongs to every child who deserves to see clearly.

Glasses are amazing! And so are these adorable kids. 👓
At our recent celebration with @DIFF Eyewear in Charleston, SC, Vision To Learn provided 41 elementary school kids with free glasses, and now they’re seeing their world, and their future, a whole lot more clearly. by @visiontolearn

Earlier last week, Tamashia Flowers’ son was one of 41 elementary school students at Charleston Progressive Academy who received glasses from Vision To Learn. 👓 As both a parent and the assistant principal at Charleston Progressive, she has a unique perspective on the impact of Vision To Learn’s program.

When Vision To Learn’s mobile clinic visited her school, many students told her it was their first-ever eye exam. Until then, no one had checked whether they could clearly see lessons on the board or read chapter books.

For too many children, vision problems go undetected simply because they don't have access to the care they need. That’s why Vision To Learn is committed to providing free, accessible vision care to children across Charleston and the rest of the country.

Smiles all around! ❤️

Earlier last week, Vision To Learn, along with Chad Dime, Co-Founder of @diffeyewear and Anita Huggins, Charleston County School District superintendent, held an epic celebration for elementary school kids at Charleston Progressive Academy where they were provided with their first pair of glasses! 💫 👓 There was music, pizza, dancing, a DJ, and a surprise visit from local mascot Cool Ray.

A big thank you from Vision To Learn to school and county staff, including the great nurses, and local community partners who make this work possible every single day. And congrats to DIFF for the recent opening of their first store—right in Charleston!

A pair of glasses does more than provide clear vision. It can inspire a child’s vision for their future. 🌱

That’s Brighton’s story. A bright student who loves to help people, she used to have difficulty seeing the board, leading to strained eyes and frequent headaches. Even so, she was nervous to wear glasses because she was worried that other kids might make fun of her.

After Vision To Learn came to her school and provided her with a pair of purple prescription eyeglasses, Brighton discovered the transformative effect of glasses. Her headaches slipped away. Her grades improved.

“She feels so smart,” her mom Katrina said. “She now wants to be a teacher.” 👩‍🏫

Glasses enabled Brighton to see her full potential and build the confidence to dream big. This World Sight Day, we’re celebrating the power of vision care to give children the opportunity to envision their future more clearly.

What difference can vision care make in the lives of children and their families? Ask an educator. 👓💙

UTLA Elementary Vice President Maria Miranda shares the impact she saw firsthand when over 700 students had their vision screened (in just a few hours!)—and more than 200 were provided with the glasses they needed to see and learn from Vision To Learn.

That’s hundreds of students with a clearer view of the lessons in front of them. And families who didn’t have to worry about the cost.

As we celebrate 300,000 free pairs of glasses provided to kids across California, we’re proud to announce a new initiative in partnership with LAUSD to make sure every child across all 70 LAUSD Community Schools is provided with the glasses they need.

💡 Our story began in 2012 with one mobile clinic and five children at a school in Northridge, California. We set out to solve a problem we couldn’t accept: across the country, kids were being asked to learn without being able to clearly see the lesson.

So we brought free eye exams and glasses right to their schools, via our mobile clinics.

Yesterday at 24th Street Elementary in Los Angeles, we celebrated 300,000 free pairs of glasses provided to children across California. Seeing students smile in their new glasses brought us back to those first five kids—and why we started.

“We’re solving the problem. We’re not just talking about it,” said founder Austin Beutner.

Your generosity has powered our work for the past 14 years—and continues to put glasses into the hands of kids who need them. Thank you for believing in the difference clear vision can make in a child's life. 💛

Today, we celebrate Vision To Learn for reaching the incredible milestone of providing 300,000 pairs of glasses to children across California!

Our students come to school with a lot of needs. There's humanity in meeting those needs. Partnering with organizations like Vision To Learn, which brings eye care directly to children at schools, is exactly what community schools are about.

We know that when our students' basic needs are met, they can thrive. by @visiontolearn

300,000. 🎉🎉

That's the number of children that Vision To Learn has provided glasses to in California since its founding 14 years ago.

Today at 24th Street Elementary in Los Angeles, we celebrated that milestone alongside several distinguished guests, including California Teachers Association President David Goldberg, LA Unified Superintendent Andrés E. Chait, and LA Unified Board of Education Member Sherlett Hendy Newbill.

Their words reflect a shared commitment: making sure students have the glasses they need to learn. 💗 We’re grateful to CTA, LA Unified, its Board of Education, and the UTLA for helping us bring vision care directly to children at school, at no cost to their families.

Together, we’re continuing this work through a new effort to ensure every child in the district’s Community Schools has the glasses they need.
