We want to hear from everyone who takes holidays or short breaks in the UK. We want to understand what people really think about a Tourist Tax, so please take a few minutes to complete our survey and have your say.

A wonderful sight at Bude Jazz Festival this morning - dear Mr Gilbert, a veteran of dozens of festivals and, as ever, arriving in style with a new parasol for the Jazz Parade!

Judging by that smile, perhaps this Plymouth man is finally admitting that the Cornish way might just have the edge!

A true Bude Jazz Festival character - and always a joy to see. by @visitbude

When Susan and Paul contacted us about a Beach Hut Wedding, they said they wanted a “relaxed simple wedding” with this fun-loving couple, that was never going to happen, it turned into quite a party!!

There was singing from Paul Rick The Stick Fan Club who sang and played guitar as part of their ceremony, changing the words of “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias to express his love for Susan and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Not only was there singing but dancing too! This couple are passionate about music.

Photographer Charlotte Atherton Photography captured some fabulous pictures outside of the hut and then around Summerleaze Beach.

With all the dancing, it was time to re-energise. As if by magic Clair from The Kitchen Front arrived with a vintage Cornish Cream Tea and freshly baked scones all delivered in a suitcase along with a pot of loose-leaf tea!!

There was time for more dancing and singing and then their carriage arrived!!

Excellent service from Lee at Echo North Cornwall Taxi who went above and beyond.

Adding Ribbons to his white Audi which was immaculate inside and out. On top of that he gifted the journeys as a Wedding present. 💝

Many thanks to the local businesses who helped to bring this day together.

However, our biggest thanks go to Susan and Paul for allowing us to be part of such special day in their lives and for saying,

“We turned the simplest of weddings into a day better than our wildest dreams" ❤️

Bude tide times: Wednesday to Friday. The tidal range becomes noticeably smaller through the rest of the week. Wednesday’s range is around 3.45m, reducing to approximately 2.59m on Friday. This means high tides will be lower, while low tides will remain higher and expose less of the beach than earlier in the week.

Bude tide times: Sunday to Tuesday. Today has the largest tidal range of the three days shown, with a low tide of 1.06m and a high tide of 7.23m. This means the sea will move a considerable distance across the beach between low and high tide. The tidal range gradually becomes smaller over the next few days, so high tides will be lower and low tides will not retreat as far.

We’re so proud that three out of ten awarded Blue Flags in Cornwall have been presented to our beautiful Bude beaches. It’s one of the world’s most recognised voluntary awards for beaches.
In order to qualify for the Blue Flag, a series of stringent environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility criteria must be met and maintained.
As a community, we care so much & this award shines for us 🙌 ❤️
