Gather in Grey has been named as a finalist in two 2026 Ontario Tourism Awards of Excellence.

The [gath-er] style guide includes an instruction to avoid use of first-person perspective when crafting text. In this case, we are going to make an exception.

Every single one of us involved in [gath-er] is beyond thrilled to receive this recognition. We’ve been working on this project for years now. In that time, it has expanded from a humble culinary tourism initiative, into a comprehensive destination marketing campaign.

At the core of [gath-er] is a very simple belief: the best way to tell the story of a destination is through the people who shape it.
Understanding this has allowed us to work alongside, learn from, and share the stories of many incredible Grey County businesses, experiences, and visionaries.
Along the way we’ve “gath-ered” invaluable insights and countless connections within Grey County and beyond, so many good memories, some bumps and bruises, a million laughs, and now, two finalist nods at the @tiaogram 2026 Ontario Tourism Awards of Excellence.

We are proud to share this honour with everyone who has been part of the journey.

Making his way through Southgate, @rogermooking stopped by Spanky's Food Truck in Holstein before meeting the creator behind Relish, where a cherished family recipe inspired a business built on sharing homemade flavour with the community.

Becoming an artist at the spa.

The art of noticing is a practice.
A practice in silence and presence.

Something we recommend here at Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain is practicing that art through the self guided thermal journey.
Taking the time to understand each step, its purpose and how your breath supports your journey.

Warm the body in the hot pools, steam or saunas.
Reset in the cold pools, under the Nordic shower or take the plunge under the bucket.
Reset with rest by the fire, cozy in the hanging chairs or in one of many hammocks around the property.

All while practicing the art of noticing.
Noticing where the light streams through the trees and dances on the metal silo.

The early fall colours are starting to pop and the Beaver Valley is an amazing place to see them. The salmon are officially running!

Check out the Thornbury Fishway this weekend and watch the salmon make their way upstream 🐟 The Fishway is located near the mouth of the Beaver River (between Mill St & Bruce St) and there’s lots of great lookout points to see all the action.

With beautiful weather in the forecast, spend the day in town and make a reservation at @themillcafe or @polpetteitalian on either side of the Fishway!
