How to hike like a hero (for both sheep and people) ⛰️
 🐕‍🦺 Dog on a lead – always. Even if it thinks it’s a sheep whisperer. 🔒 Shut the gate behind you. Sheep are escape artists. Olympic level. 💚 Let the sheep chill. No selfies, no chasing, no baa-ing competitions.

The hike to Rampestreken in Åndalsnes offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, fjords, and autumn landscapes. If you’re looking for an easier way up, take the @romsdalsgondolen to the top, and enjoy a shorter, scenic walk to the viewpoint. The full hike takes about 1.5-2 hours each way, with some steeper sections.

Raumabanen fyller 100 år🥳

Strekningen er kåret til Europas vakreste togreise. Toget er inngangsporten til Møre og Romsdal - fjordene, fjellene og byene.

The Rauma railway (Raumabanen) is a testament to Norway's engineering prowess and natural beauty, celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2024.🎂

👉 Opened in 1924, this iconic railway stretches 114 kilometers from Dombås to Åndalsnes, carving through the breathtaking landscapes of the Romsdalen Valley. Renowned for its scenic views, the line features awe-inspiring sights such as the Kylling Bridge and the Trollveggen (Troll Wall).

📣UPDATE: You can still see the bends of Trollstigen from the Trollstigen plateau and view Trollstigen from above or from the parking at Trollstigfoten in Isterdalen.

👉 The Trollstigen road from Valldal to the Trollstigen plateau is OPEN. View the hairpin bends from above at the Trollstigen plateau on the Valldal side.
👉 View Trollstigen from below from Trollstigfoten. Trollstigen Gjestegård in Isterdalen remain open.

📌 Due to increased risk of rockfall, unfortunately, the distinctive bends in Trollstigen are closed to both vehicular traffic, cyclists, and pedestrians for the remainder of the 2024 season. The closed section is between Isterdalen in Rauma/Åndalsnes and the bends leading up to the Trollstigen plateau. Please park only in designated areas.

Romsdalseggen in Åndalsnes is one of the worlds most beautiful hikes ⛰️

🥾 The hike is challenging - distance 10,8 km
🚌 The bus to the starting point of the trip starts June 21
👉🏼 Parts of the hike is exposed. The hike is not reccomended for children
