Ever wondered how one of Ireland’s most unusual golf hole names came about?

The hollow at the centre of Waterville’s 12th hole is known as The Mass Hole. During the reign of Oliver Cromwell, local Catholics are said to have gathered here in secret to celebrate Mass.
