ROCK MASTER 2026 | Boulder Practice

The second day of @rockmasterfestival was full of boulder fun. Some athletes are strong in Lead, some others in Boulder. I was excited to see how the pro athletes will practicing on the wall in the setting of a competition.

As a normal visitor I found a good spot to take some cool pictures.

ROCK MASTER 2026 | Warm-up Lead Duel

Exactly one week ago I could manage it to visit the @rockmasterfestival in Arco, Trentino.

Some of the top climbers of the world challenged in Lead Duel and KO Boulder. It was fun to watch the warm-up session when the athletes have tried to find the best way to the top.

Here is the first part of my review to this outstanding climbing festival which have celebrated 40th anniversary.

I‘m definitely not a videographer but this is for a short review to my days at the Rpck Master Festival 2026.

Through my lens I‘ve met a lot of nice pro climbers. After taking pictures from the E-foiling Worldcup in July this was my second big event as a non-professional sports photographer.this year. Both events had the same result: the athletes are thankful for pictures of them. ☺️

Now I‘m sick but it was worth it!

The journey is not over without a sunrise in rhe dolomites!

Mass tourism? Yeah. But the crowd was still sleeping and missed this beautiful sunrise at Passo Giau! Lucky me 🥳

One of the best decisions during my summer roadtrip was to stop at Val di Fassa to meet friends who have shown me this beautiful landscape of Val Contrin.

In a better shape I‘ll come back to exolore more of the valley and it’s mountains. I think I lost my heart at the dolomites.

Sorry, I can‘t… I‘m watching a live stream!

Don’t waste your time watching livestreams on TV. The best live streams are outdoors. Go for it, listen to nature, feel and smell it. Explore sceneries not the streaming services. You won‘t be disappointed and you will find inner piece. 🧘

I wouldn‘t have seen this if I hadn‘t met two friends in Soraga di Fassa. It’s just a small village but it was full of life.

I’ve foumd an overnight spot for my campervan which was for free. That’s no longer a given in the Dolomites.

I’m kidding. Of course you can’t get it in the summer months! There are more people than ever before. It’s hard to see the beauty of nature between the ugly side of overtourism.

I just stopped here for one hour while I was road tripping from Lago di Caldaro to Val di Fassa. Will I come back? As always: maybe in the off season!

From Slovenia to Croatia to Italy… During my summer roadtrip I stopped for one reason at Lake Garda: the Foiling Week at Malcesine.

I‘ve never seen E-Foiling or Pump Foiling until I met two guys in Croatia and a lot more at Lake Garda. It looks like fun and it’s a nice sport to take pictures. Hopefully I can join some other events in the future.

This is Croatias most scenic road!

I‘ve been driven it in both directions and with two different weather conditions. Both ways were beautiful. It was the best decision to spent not a single kilometer on the higjways during my roadtrip.

PLEASE READ OR SLIDE!

The last post from Pag Island is for the sheeps. They were one reason for visiting this Croatian island. Everyone who knows me better knows my love for sheeps.

On Pag Island you can find a lot of selling spots for homemade traditional cheese: the Pag cheese or Paški sir. First of all it’s a hard cheese made from sheep milk. Secondly it‘s distinctively flavoured because of the salt which comes with the wind from the Adriatic Sea to the land and on grass and herbals. The sheeps are gazing and their milk get these special flavour.

Everytime when sheeps are around me, my dream gets bigger to work on a sheep farm for a few weeks one day. If you have any contacts to a sheep farm in Ireland, South England or Scotland please write me a DM! 🙏

Ich glaube, besser als das gestrige Reel vom „Life on Mars“-Trail kann man diesen Teil der Insel nicht zeigen und dennoch möchte ich ein paar Fotos hinterherschicken. Wie so viele Hobbyfotograf*innen sehe ich diese Plattform mittlerweile als persönliches Tagesbuch da Instagram starre Bilder ja kaum noch für andere Personen ausspielt. Und dieses Tagebuch möchte ich eben auch weiterhin mit Fotos füllen!

Eines Tages werde ich nach Pag zurückkehren und diese besondere Landschaft im Morgen- oder im Abendlicht fotografieren. 🙃

Ich bleibe dabei, dass es sich lohnt, über die Brücke im Süden nach Pag zu fahren und so die Insel zu erkunden. Man erspäht an den Straßenrändern immer wieder Verkaufsstellen für Homemade-Produkte von der Insel, man erlebt den grünen Teil der Insel und den kargen, man fährt die kleine Passstraße mit atemberaubender Aussicht und kann erahnen, wie viele Schafe auf der Insel leben oder gelebt haben, da man - ähnlich wie in Schottland oder Irland - kilometerweit zwischen Steinwällen durchfährt.
