I love going out and seeing who and what I can capture, today made me realise the importance and beauty of having people around you, people who will converse with you when you’re down, and walk with you in times of need. The art of being together 🙏🏼❤️ #theartofstorytelling #hull #humberbridge #cinematicedit #kingstonuponhull by @visualsbyumi
Coming soon, a short film,: This is Hull, shot by me. 🎥 With everything going on in the UK, and more specifically here in Hull my hometown, the rise of Reform and the hostility towards immigrants has genuinely made me sick. I have so many friends who are immigrants, friends whose parents are immigrants, and grandparents of my own who immigrated here. Some of the best people I know come from different cultures, backgrounds and walks of life, and that’s something to be celebrated, not condemned. This short film shines a light on the small businesses that make Hull what it is. The people who work hard, contribute to our communities and help keep this city going, often behind the scenes, whilst others storm our town centres calling for radical change. But change against what? Against the very people who help make this city what it is? We are Hull. People from all over the world are Hull. THIS is Hull. I wanted to make something that reminds people of that. To put a face to the businesses, the people and the communities that deserve to be seen, heard and celebrated. Stay tuned for the full film. 🤍 #hull #politics #cinematic #shortfilms #cinematicvideo by @visualsbyumi

I have very harsh opinions on AI, and without being too controversial, I think it can make us lazy and stop us from thinking for ourselves. Having to write, string coherent thoughts together and actually think things through is important, and I do think people are slowly becoming more reliant on AI for these things. If you zone in, you can see it all over social media. AI is free, and it’s convenient, I completely get it. But sometimes posting these tacky AI posters can do more harm for your business than if you didn’t post at all. To customers, it can come across as lazy and repetitive. Every single business in every area is using these ChatGPT-generated flyers, so what makes you different, and why would that stop anyone in their tracks to book with you? It may seem silly, but I do think it has an impact on creators, other businesses who put their money back into the creative economy, and people who take the time to put thought into their strategy. Obviously, everyone has their own way of doing things, and if AI works for you, that’s your choice! But I do think it’s worth asking whether the content you’re putting out actually reflects your brand or is making you blend into a million other businesses. Tools like Canva and Adobe make it so easy to be your own brand manager, and if not, you know where I am! 🤪 #aitools #chatgpt #businesscontentcreator #contentplanning #contentstrategist by @visualsbyumi
The real beauty of a salon is the girlies that hold it up, the girls who make you want to come back ⭐️ #cinematicvideo #contentstrategy #smallbusinessowner #salonlife #salonowner by @visualsbyumi
The face behind the content! I thought I’d do a little intro. My name is Umi, I’ve been content creating for around 8 years now and I first started whilst living overseas in Qatar with my family! Since then I fell in love with it and never stopped. I most recently was recognised for my efforts by L’Oréal, and was invited to attend the Le defile celebration with them in London, it was incredible! I often work with big brands delivering UGC videos and paid ads and I enjoy every minute. It feels like a dream ☁️ My content style is a mix between clean bright and soft, and cinematic luxury. I love creating videos that tell people a story, whether it’s personal, business or everyday. I do everything with absolutely 100% effort & I’m an absolute perfectionist, I always like to make sure my clients are happy, so we will always discuss your vision before a shoot! 🫶🏽 If this sounds like your type of promo, dm me 📸🥰 #contentcreator #eventcontentcreator #contentcreating #aboutme #facebehindthebrand by @visualsbyumi
Capturing the beauty, grace and tradition of classical Indian dance at St Andrew Housing in Beverley, bringing a little piece of culture and joy to their residents. 🪷✨ The passion these ladies have for their art is truly beautiful to witness. Moments like these remind me just how proud I am of my Indian heritage. 🇮🇳❤️ @balbirsinghdanceco 🫶🏽 by @visualsbyumi
