BEFORE THE LIGHT

There is a journey we all take before we become who we are meant to be.

It rarely begins with a grand moment.
It begins quietly — almost invisibly.

Like a seed beneath the soil, buried in darkness, slowly gathering the courage to break through. A tiny sapling pushes against the earth, searching for light. And when it finally finds it, its leaves do not hesitate. They turn towards the sky, as if they have always known where they were meant to go.

Perhaps, we are not so different.

There is something within us that keeps reaching — even when we cannot see what we are reaching for.

The universe has its own way of responding to that search.

Sunlight travels millions of miles through silence, only to arrive at the smallest pupil of our eyes. A breeze moves through the trees. Shadows dance between leaves. Water finds its way through stone. Nothing in nature seems to exist in isolation.

Everything is in conversation with everything else.

And somewhere in all of this, I began to wonder —

What if everything fascinating about nature already exists within us?

The resilience of a seed.
The patience of a mountain.
The movement of water.
The stillness of a forest.
The warmth of sunlight.
The rhythm of shadows.
The instinct to keep reaching towards the light.

Perhaps life outside us is simply a reflection of the life within us.

And perhaps, to arrive at the most beautiful view, we must first be willing to take the deepest route.

The unfamiliar path.
The uncertain turns.
The silence.
The darkness.

Because the path to something beautiful is rarely the easiest one.

There are moments when the road becomes so dark that we begin to question whether there was ever a light ahead at all. But maybe darkness is not the absence of light.

Maybe it is where our eyes learn to recognize it.

So we keep moving.

With nothing but a small ray of hope somewhere ahead, we continue travelling — not necessarily towards a destination, but towards a greater version of ourselves.

This video is a small reflection of that journey for me.

I went looking for a place, a landscape, a view… and somewhere along the way, I found something within. by @visualsofkamal

Discover Munnar!

One day ride through Munnar — endless tea plantations, clean winding roads, and views that don’t break for a second.
The way this place is maintained shows—every stretch feels cared for, every turn feels planned.
Rode in for the views, stayed for the calm.
