Some of you may be familiar with the Twin Sister Docs, Dr. Elana McDonald and Dr. Delana Wardlaw, North Philly icons on a mission to inspire the next generation of students to pursue careers in medicine, no matter where they come from. 🩺❣️

I had the opportunity to meet the doctors, watch them present at a local school, and photograph them at their childhood park in Strawberry Mansion. They were kind, informative, and very genuine.

These photos were commissioned by @bethepeople for Stories By Us (storiesbyus.org), a project dedicated to highlighting Americans who are making a positive impact in their communities. Thank you to @twinsisterdocs for welcoming me and allowing me to help share a small part of your story. You can learn more about their mission through the Stories By Us link in my bio or by visiting their Instagram.

And thank you to @bethepeople for what was literally a dream assignment. Documenting real people doing real shit is exactly the kind of work I hope to keep doing. I also encourage everyone to share the stories from their own communities, you can do that through stroriesbyus.org. taken in North Philadelphia by @visualsregardless

my thoughts last week while reading the newly installed, federally approved panels about slavery in the first presidents house.

If you want to learn more/ keep up with the activists trying to bring history back follow Avenging the Ancestors Coalition @michaelcoard & @whyy Philly.

I found the old panel text at the historical marker database (hmdb.org) and photos of them at saveoursigns.org. thanks to nonprofits, activists, and archivists making sure we don’t forget what was there.

Columbus park NYC, (named after Christopher Columbus) is now a central hub in Chinatown, where you’ll find mahjong games, tai chi, & a statue honoring Dr. Sun Yat-sen, first president of the republic of China. 🇨🇳🀄️🍃

New York City’s famous dollar slice started in the early 2000’s & mainly served the homeless, until 2008 when the economic recession made the business model popular in wealthier neighborhoods.

In recent years with inflation businesses have struggled to keep the $1 slice alive, and it is rare to see even $1.50 these days. 🍕

A busker sings “Penny Lane” in Strawberry Fields, a section of Central Park dedicated to John Lennon after his passing.

According to a 2025 report by New York’s Office of the State Comptroller, NYC employs over 140 thousand construction workers, with 61% of those being immigrants from other countries.

Thoughts on the recent protests over the cities FY27 budget proposal. I am not a city budget or financial expert, but wanted to make this to address some confusion I myself had after seeing a lot of different things on social media.

I hope all protestors continue to be safe and healthy.

Video recap of the inaugural 21.5k starting & ending in North Philadelphia 🏙️📸✨

Route highlights!!
- Running by the famous metal palm trees in El Bloque de Oro 🌴🇵🇷
- Seeing the Ben Franklin bridge
- Passing Independence Hall🔔
- MLK Drive while it’s closed to traffic 😍
- Boxers Row in Strawberry Mansion 🥊

The weather was perfect, the vibes were high & the support at the finish line made this one of the best races I’ve ever done in Philly.

S/o all the different run clubs and individuals who turned out for this event. It was a day of community, fun, and personal limits being tested <3

& If you posed for this video-THANK YOU! 😊
