Twin sisters Brenda and Brenna chose to make their very first blood donation together at their church blood drive. They were both a bit nervous but decided "I'll do it if you do it."

A first donation can come with questions, excitement, and a few nerves. Having someone in the donor chair next to you makes the experience a little easier and a lot more memorable.

Their donations will help patients who depend on blood products every day, and they started that journey together.

Thank you both for rolling up your sleeves and becoming blood donors. We hope this is the first of many donation days shared side by side.

🚗🔑 Meet our final Volkswagen Giveaway finalists!

Nephi of Mesa, selected through the Bonus Entry Online drawing, has donated blood for decades. His commitment to giving back was reinforced when his daughter required multiple transfusions during childbirth, reminding him how vital a strong blood supply can be.

Darrell of Sun City West, selected through the Bonus Entry Showroom Raffle Box drawing, began donating while serving in the Navy and has dedicated many years to helping patients, including cancer patients who rely on platelet donations.

🚗🔑 Today's finalists show that there are many ways to make a lifesaving difference.

Ida of Whiteriver was selected as the Automated Donor Finalist. She first donated on Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a way to honor a loved one and has continued giving blood whenever possible.

Windy of Mesa earned the Goal-Making Coordinator finalist spot after leading a successful blood drive at Cannon & Wendt and exceeding her collection goal. She knows the impact donated blood has on patients facing serious illnesses and injuries.

Whether donating blood or organizing blood drives, these finalists are helping ensure blood is available when patients need it most.

🚗🔑 The finalist announcements continue!

Jarrett of Glendale earned his place in the Volkswagen Giveaway after donating through the Saving Arizona Blood Drive. A 12-time donor, Jarrett was inspired by the memory of a family member and regularly donates alongside his mom.

Bryan of Peoria was selected from the Glendale Donor Center. Also a 12-time donor, Bryan gives blood because he understands firsthand how important it is for families facing medical emergencies and trauma.

Both donors share a commitment to helping others through blood donation. Will one of them drive home a new 2026 VW Taos S? Find out during our live finale on Oct. 14.

More than 1,200 donations. Countless lives touched.

Two men who attended the same high school connected years later, one state away, and discovered they shared a remarkable commitment to helping others.

Now living in Colorado, longtime donors from Arizona's Globe-Miami area, Ned and Deano, recently reached an incredible milestone together: more than 1,200 lifetime blood donations.

❤️ Ned has donated 800 times.
"It's become a habit for me and my way of giving back to the community. Someone's life is going to be saved, and that's an amazing thing."

❤️ Deano has donated 400 times.
"You know you're helping save someone's life, and that means a lot to me. This is one of the most meaningful ways I give back."

Just days before starting kindergarten, five-year-old Caison was diagnosed with leukemia. What began as leg pain and fever quickly became a fight for his life.

Throughout his treatment, Caison relied on the generosity of blood donors, receiving approximately 20 blood transfusions and 26 platelet transfusions. Each donation helped give him the strength to continue battling cancer.

Today, Caison is in the maintenance phase of treatment, and his family is giving back by hosting a community blood drive to help other patients facing serious illnesses.

"Before this happened, we didn't really understand how important blood donation was," his mom shared. "Now we know firsthand how much patients depend on those donations."

Patients need blood every day, which means donations are always needed.

Grace knows that firsthand. Her dad donated until he was 91, and after a friend encouraged her to try donating again, she started giving regularly.

“I started donating because my dad always did. He was still donating at 91 years old! I couldn’t donate for a while and then a friend asked me to try again and I was able to, now I donate every time I get the call.”
