Last night we went to see @wwe Smackdown. And I know a lot of my hoity toity cultured friends will turn their nose up at wrestling but it’s truly such a fun experience. It teaches you storytelling 101. Plus… it’s brings out THE PASSION. (See slide 2).

Big Viv might not get into wrestling but I want her to know she has the ability to enjoy whatever she likes even if society thinks it is lame. taken in Ball Arena by @vitcavage

Returned to @reading__den to host my favorite debut novel AND short story collection of the year.

@emelinenoelleatwood’s A REAL ANIMAL is IT. Trust me when I say this book is more than a woman turning into a leopard. I may say it’s not even about that. @catapult has a very special book with this one.

@chris_vanjonack’s OUT OF BODY features stories that made me fall out of bed while reading. @williammorrowbooks really trusted these stories!

Also! Both books are edited by two of my favorite editors? @kendallstorey and @peterkispert? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

We're peeling back the curtain on how a book media outlet operates over on Substack.

Debutiful's most-read article every year is the Most Anticipated List. Not the Best Of (interesting, right?).

We pride ourselves on being the first place readers, content creators, and influencers discover new voices that will be talked about all year long.

The Most Anticipated List is a months-long process that makes @vitcavage lose approximately 7% of his hair per year. by @vitcavage

Stoked to be able to announce I was accepted into the @mccormack_writing_center speculative workshop! I’ll be in @park_silvia’s cohort, which is eerily perfect for the novel I’m working on.

At the beginning of the year, an idea shot out of me about a woman in a dying town who was abducted by aliens decades ago. In the present, she becomes obsessed that a teenage boy was also abducted. It’s heavily inspired by how my mom tells stories and the town I grew up in.

Grateful that MWC offers online workshops because there’s no way I could have attended in person with Big Viv’s arrival! taken in Scranton, Pennsylvania by @vitcavage

Debutiful HQ welcomed a baby this summer, which means @vitcavage doesn’t have as much time for individual clients for DEBUT U.

HOWEVER!!!

He’s putting together a cohort of 5 writers who have debut books coming out in 2027 or 2028 for a discounted price.

Let’s learn and build community together.

Hi! I have an essay about how living with my sister @ash.vit in my 20s taught me how to be less of an asshole and more of a kind adult.

It’s in the anthology LIVING, TOGETHER: REIMAGINING COMMUNITY IN THE AGE OF DISCONNECTION, edited by @samanthapaigerosen.

You can listen to me read it exclusively over at the @debutiful substack. Comment below and I’ll DM you a link! taken in Scranton, Pennsylvania by @vitcavage
