This is a picture from our “tappetone” installation, shot sometime around 5 am during last Saturday’s “Notturno Agorà” at @triennalemilano in the occasion of Studio In Triennale “Fuori Orario edition.

Swipe to see what happened before and after the opening of the doors of “Agorà”, an open womb wrapped in our fabrics and lit by our visuals on screens

Thank you everyone who joined us for this collective journey through the sound of @nobile_nobile , the powerful transpoetica of @sandra_malecane over @joaofarc soundtrack, and the incredible final messa by @cosmogramvenice with @calicantus___ and @gaudhbr

Thanks once again to @rivistastudio for inviting us and supporting this installation, to @triennalemilano for hosting us and politely waking us up in the morning, to the production and the install team 🪐 it’s been a unique experience in our city and we hope it won’t be the last!

Collage 8 | COILED-KNIT DRESS

Fibers: Polyamide and silk yarn (deadstock); cotton yarn (deadstock); natural thatch grass

Machine knitting technique: tubular bava “coiling” with silk yarn in warp and polyamide in weft

Machine embroidery technique: full-width machine embroidery, “human head”-shaped artwork

Hand coiling technique: feather-stitch coiling, half-vase-shaped shell

Construction: 1 rectangular panel, moulage on mannequin; pleated effect created by hand through the selective displacement of warp threads.
Embroidered fabric slip. Coiled shell suspended on the side
