Most people think Zouk is about head movements.

Watch this again.

There’s the head. The spine moving through a body wave. A playful footwork variation nobody saw coming. A one leg spin into a cambré.

All inside one small phrase of music.

Zouk is one of the few partner dances that genuinely asks for the whole body. Not as lady or man style, but as part of its expression and culture. Every layer is a different conversation with the music and with your partner.

That’s why it takes time to learn. Not because it’s complicated for the sake of it. Because it’s asking you to listen with everything you have.

when it clicks there’s nothing quite like it.

Learn to appreciate the journey 💚

🥈✨ 2nd place in Pro-Am, and this one deserves a very special thank you to the person who pushed me to spread my wings and fly on the dance floor, who somehow managed to turn one of my biggest fears into something I could actually enjoy and be proud of 🥹❤️

To my amazing teacher and coach, @vitor.veil thank you so much for believing in me, more than I believed in myself. Thank you for all the work you’ve put into me, for your energy, your incredible dedication to this dance and for teaching it, for your patience when I needed patience and for the tougher trainings when I needed a push.

But most of all, thank you for the mental work you did with me, as a true coach. You helped me confront my fear of dancing in front of an audience and for the first time, I managed not only to calm my tits 😹🤭, but to actually enjoy it, have fun, and feel happy out there. And I think THAT was my biggest achievement this weekend - much more than the prize itself 🥹🤍✨

A huge thank you as well to the organizers @warsaw_brasil_festival @__veronezi__ for creating this Pro-Am experience and giving us the chance to live such unforgettable moments - both as participants and as spectators. It was such a beautiful experience to be part of ✨ by @vitor.veil

Time to say see you soon, Dubai! 🇦🇪✨

I was welcomed with open arms by the entire BRZK community, and this place will definitely hold a special spot in my heart forever. What an amazing cultural exchange! And yeah... despite the crazy 40°C+ heat, I made it through! hahaha 🥵☀️

Thank you so much for every laugh, dance, hug, and smile in this video with @Mabelle and @vitor. You guys are honestly incredible! Can’t wait to be back.

💬 If you catch the surprise at the end of the video, tag the @ in the comments! 👀👇
