I decided I’m going to draw one picture for every novel I finish this year if I can ❤️ In 2009 I read this book and it was my very first introduction to anime at the Scholastic Book Fair. Now 17 years later I read it again. It feels really cathartic to revisit this and it sits very proudly on my shelf :) 🏴‍☠️ The Pirate and the Princess: The Timelight Stone by Mio Chizuru by @vivacringe

I designed some OCs based on the Nutcracker bc I’m a little hyperfixated after seeing it live 😮‍💨 but I might give these a second pass in the future. Especially Mouse King I want him to look cooler 🐭 the whole time I was drawing this too I was imagining them with a whole story different from the original Nutcracker too I swear ADHD works in such mysterious ways by @vivacringe
