Where do I even start? 🥹

Long before I called it advocacy, I was simply the friend who shared everything useful.

If I found a job opportunity, training programme, certification, career event or business resource, I passed it on. I have always believed that useful information should travel, especially when it could help someone take their next step.

That instinct grew stronger when I moved to Ireland for my master’s degree. I was navigating a new country, an unfamiliar job market and my transition into technology. I did not have everything figured out, but whatever I learned, I shared.

Little did I know that this habit of bringing others along would eventually grow into @thetechgirlfoundation and @career_connect.ie

Today, I’m honoured to share that I have been named a finalist in the Advocacy & Public Impact category of the @jcidublin Ten Outstanding Young Persons Awards 2026 (TOYP). ✨

This recognition comes during another meaningful season in my journey. I have also been appointed to the @cgad_org (CGAD)Global Youth Advisory Board and selected as an @iycforyouth (IOY) Ambassador for the 2026–2027 term.

Different opportunities, but one shared purpose: helping more people access the information, guidance, networks and opportunities they need to move forward.

I may still be figuring out some of my own next steps, but I’m proud that part of my journey now involves helping others find theirs.

And I will always bring people along. 💚

Last Thursday was one of the proudest moments of my life.

When we started planning @career_connect.ie 2026, the goal was simple: create a space where people could access opportunities, connect with employers, learn from professionals, and leave feeling more confident about their future.

Last Thursday made that vision a reality.

I would like to begin by sincerely thanking the @lordmayorofdublin, Cllr @ray.mcadam for taking the time to join us, meet attendees, and officially open the event. His presence meant a great deal to us and to everyone who attended.

I also want to thank every organisation, speaker, coach, mentor, volunteer, sponsor, exhibitor, and attendee who made the day possible.

From employer engagement and networking conversations to CV reviews, interview coaching, mentorship sessions, career talks, and the Career Pitch Competition, the energy throughout the day was incredible.

The highlight for me was seeing people connect.

People meeting potential employers.
People gaining confidence.
People discovering opportunities they didn’t know existed.
People supporting one another.

Career Connect Ireland was created to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, and last Thursday showed what can happen when communities, organisations, and individuals come together with a shared purpose.

To everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, partnered, spoke, coached, sponsored, or simply believed in the vision from the beginning, thank you.

We’re only getting started.

Some of the best things about me will never fit in a photograph. ✨

The ideas I can’t leave alone. The people I believe in. The way one conversation can have me planning something that didn’t exist yesterday.

I love getting dressed for the occasion. I love creating the occasion, too.

These days, I’m giving myself permission to be seen in the fullness of who I am: a woman with presence, purpose and plenty still to bring to the table.
