I’m having a lot of fun with this DIY camera. I made this 5x7” large format out of a couple black plastic trays that I bought in “Amazon Basics” 😂🤣😂
The lens is an Kodak Anastigmat F 4 that I bought on eBay
The rig to mount it, and tripod are from #neewer which I have been buying most of my stuff, lights and so.
No shutter, I have to let the light go in by myself and estimate the exposure time (long exposure always).
Photographic paper and developing chemicals from @ilfordphoto
Have a look at the results 😍❤️😍

WITNESS | THE FILM
09.14.26

A screening, a conversation, and a room full of people with eyes wide open.

We gathered at IRON | FEATHER for the premiere of WITNESS | THE FILM directed by Nelson Schmunk | @vkingnyc exploring the work and world of Harvey Redding | @harveydolphredding followed by an artist discussion moderated by Jeff | @jeffvicente.nyc . Our conversation moved through art, family, memory, queer history, and collaboration, the physical and the digital, and what it means to bear witness to your own identity.

Thank you Harvey for trusting us to tell your story, Nelson for creating this moving work of art and Biko for the sonic layers this season (and the Brownie.)

Extra special thanks to Rocco and Julian at the SoHo Project Space | @sohoprojectspace for their support throughout this residency.

And all our love, admiration, and respect to Charles Leslie and the @leslielohmanmuseum for inspiring us to carry the torch and create a space of queer expression in downtown NYC.

And of course, our utmost gratitude to everyone who came through, sparked dialogue, and made the room vibrate.

To your moments of silence. For the thousand car rides with mates. Our adventures in the wild. For the times that we encourage each other to do new things. For our short, last-minute trips. For your patience doing my hair that never feels perfect. For the bars and the soccer matches. The beautiful times with your closest friends. For sharing my favorite empanadas. Hiking in the Brazilian mountains. For the best raves ever danced. For the bravery of pursuing your dreams. For the moments to relax on the beach. The scooter rides in Berlin. The company when I’m making asado. The little, simple things that make you smile, and for feeding the birds on the beach with me.

Happy birthday, papi.

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude 🙏🏼 to everyone who helped me raise the funds I needed to renew my green card during these dark times. I’m beyond relieved and happy to share that a couple of months ago, it was finally approved .
Being away from home can be really hard, especially missing the hugs and deep connections of friendships built over years.
But now, in just a week, I’ll finally be able to visit my family in Argentina, and I’ll reunite with friends like Vanessa, whom I haven’t seen in seven years. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @vkingnyc
