A place worth returning to.
And the perfect track to match her grace.

Intro post:
I’m Vlada — I create marketing strategies for tech companies, and my heart also belongs to the water. Outside of work, I swap my laptop for a mask and fins, diving into the ocean to recharge and find inspiration.

Although I think sometimes it is valuable to look in the shadows 🖤

If you don’t like long texts, just appreciate 📸🫧 @mike0sv.uwp beautiful shot 🔝

I normally keep my inner world to myself, but sometimes it feels good to pour it out. 📝

When did chasing something you love become unsexy?

A conversation with a non-freediving friend got me thinking about how chasing and obsession have somehow become negative words.

As if wanting something deeply, pursuing it consistently, or being a little obsessed with it is unhealthy.

I disagree.

Chasing is sexy. Consistency is sexy. Healthy obsession is beautiful.

Of course, what you’re chasing matters.

In freediving, chasing meters just for the sake of meters can become unhealthy. Just like desperately chasing the wrong relationship.

But chasing the excitement of the process? That’s different.

It’s spending hours figuring out one tiny detail about equalisation. Being fascinated by something that doesn’t work. Feeling ridiculously happy about the smallest breakthrough.

It’s loving the discovery, the challenges, the effort, and the growth.

And I think the same applies to love, work, and life.

When you genuinely love something, you’re not just in love with the outcome. You’re in love with figuring things out along the way.

So pauses, setbacks, and delays might change your pace, but they don’t necessarily change your love.

Because your happiness was never entirely dependent on reaching a number, achieving a result, or arriving at some imaginary finish line.

It was always in the process.

Maybe we confuse healthy obsession with unhealthy attachment. And in trying to avoid one, we’ve started discouraging the other.

Maybe the problem was never chasing. Maybe it was chasing the wrong things, or the right things for the wrong reasons.

I believe in chasing. In healthy obsession. In being ridiculously excited about the things and people you love.

And I don’t think we should make that any less sexy.

Years ago, I used to say:
“The deeper your soul, the deeper your loneliness.”

Now I see it differently.

The deeper your soul, the wider your perception becomes.
The more ways you find to experience the world.
More places to explore, more people to understand, more things to try, more questions to ask.

Depth doesn’t have to isolate you.
It can make you endlessly curious.

Maybe that’s what curiosity really is:
an inner depth that keeps reaching outward.

Random, but… Funny how some things that happened a couple of months ago can still influence the way your weeks unfold today. (Sometimes has an influence for years)

I’ve been thinking about a few conversations I had back then - some of them probably no longer than 15 minutes - and how much they stayed with me.

That’s the thing about the right people. One good conversation can shift your perspective, bring back some determination, or simply put you in the right mindset for a winning week.

And the best ones don’t really feel like “business conversations.” They’re warm, honest, sometimes slightly ridiculous. You talk about work, life, ideas, challenges - and somehow leave feeling more like yourself and more ready for whatever comes next.

Maybe in some work cases it’s less about networking and more about finding people you genuinely connect with.

Then again, a surprising number of those people in my life are freedivers… so I guess I just connect with people on a deeper level. 😄

Here’s to the people whose 15 minutes can stay with you for months 🩵

DJI Action 5 at ~18-20m. The vid quality is better than I expected with this visibility level.

I am still not over that plane 🤩🥰

Speeded up some parts of the vid so it is not too long :)
