I just wanted to take time to say a big thank you to all my fellow veterans. Happy Veterans Day, our service is not in vain. A special shout out, thanks and appreciation to all of our veterans who are volunteering on the ground in Jamaica; land of my birth. by @vm.mh.1

These are my thoughts and prayers for Jamaica. This is what’s really necessary for the country. It’s a plan of action for rescuing and recovering. While some areas just need food water and power restored. Others are severely affected and impacted by hurricane Melissa.
It’s time for the Jamaican government, the major Hotels and stadiums in the areas not impacted to have the people in the affected region and damaged areas evacuated by planes helicopters or any means necessary. Set up temporary shelters hospitals, counseling and whatever else is necessary. Then get into those areas and do a search and rescue for the missing people. Once that’s done recovery of the deceased bodies.
The people in the areas most impacted are living amongst dead bodies of humans and animals. This ought not to be.
The Parishes most severely impacted are St Elizabeth, Westmoreland, St James, Hanover and Trelawny and small parts of St Ann. Parishes not affected please lend a helping hand and not stretch out your hands for help. Lives are lost, children and the elderly especially needs immediate assistance. People are suffering and sleeping on the streets. Only then can we start rebuilding a greater Jamaica.
Though my family and distant relatives on both sides are impacted. The Bolts and Smiths are from Trelawny, the McCreaths are from St James and Westmoreland and the Careys are from St James. I’m concerned about the entire impacted parts of the island.
The alternative is going to be more deaths, diseases and illnesses. Prime minister and the opposition, this is not the time to argue and fight. It’s not the time for personal attacks and political agendas. One people one Jamaica.
Everyone please like share and post and most importantly please show your support and prayers for the victims of hurricane Melissa, not just in Jamaica, but Cuba ,Haiti, Dominican Republic.
