Hi Chat!
I’m back with some updates on my professional, corporate girly lifestyle. ✨💼 It’s hard to believe it’s been about nine months since my last post, so no judgment if you don’t make it to the end. But if you do, I appreciate you!
First things first: I’m officially Ms. Vanessa Martinez, Project Coordinator. 🗣️ I was honored to receive a promotion back in January. Two promotions in under a year is something I’m really proud of. It reflects my ability to adapt, lead, and deliver results. On top of that, our agency was recognized with a PRSA Award of Merit for the California Transportation Commission event that I led. Below is a quick rundown of everything I’ve been working on since October. It’s been a wild ride!

KC SHRM Symposium📮
I assisted with coordinating this HR event for over 400 attendees. I managed logistics such as the run of show, itineraries, registration, and website management.

California Transportation Commission Event with Kern COG🚙
I independently led this event for over 200 public officials and attendees. I managed vendors, decor, registration, itineraries, announcements, and digital media invites.

Digital Ad Management📊📈
I currently manage all ad accounts within our agency. I’ve built campaigns across Meta and Google, tracked important metrics, and created targeted strategies.

Public Affairs Campaigns📖
In this role, I’ve gained a strong understanding of how public relations connects with public affairs. I’ve supported outreach and education campaigns aligned with client goals.

Kern COG Regional Awards🏅
Another opportunity to support public affairs and lead event planning. It was rewarding to celebrate individuals making a positive impact in our region.

Photo and Video Shoots🎥📸
Since October, I’ve been involved in six shoots. I created briefs, scripts, storyboards, and moodboards, and acted as creative lead to bring our team’s vision to life. Checkout my latest BTS Campaign, I creatively directed @goodwillindustriesscc by @vmartinezmedia

The last couple of months I have been given responsibilities I’ve dreamed of. As my career progresses, I am happy to share I’ve been brought into more projects, events, and seen various industries. I am excited I get to connect with professionals in the industry and make those valuable connections.
I will be hosting my first government reception this week for a client so wish me luck!

Two years of consistently working my butt off to advance in my career! 🏆🙌
Thank you to everyone who has believed in my talent and skills, I was able to grow and learn so much in the field in a short time! From planning the Mexican Spotlight at the Newport Beach Film Festival, increasing engagement for a nail client at Titan Public Relations, working for a multitude of clients in the wellness, fashion, and pet industries at Shout Pr, helping Wellnest with their volunteer program, planning all the fun and crazy events at CSUF, and finally interning at Providence and having it turn into a full time position. I can’t wait to see where my career will take off from here!
