FIVE YEARS ALCOHOL FREE TODAY! Five years of being the master of the monsters that live deep in the pit of my stomach that I used to barf up when I drank, unleashing them on the world and myself. Insecurity and arrogance were a favorite, and I saw them often. The beasts still exist, not drinking doesn’t kill them, but now I control them, comfort them, and then put them back to bed. No shame. They live within me just as all the things I love about myself also do. I’m now just choosing the latter. Really, I’m just choosing me. Day by day, forever and ever. So today, five years ago, I embarked on a solo mission that changed my life forever. Five years ago today I freed myself to find myself. The best part, it turns out, is I really love her 🩷 by @vmbear
