Had a superb 🤩 blast 💥 weekend volunteering @destinationtrailraces #bigfoot200 at Lewis River AS (Mile 101) hosted by @bivouacracing @vantucky_aid_station @why_racing_events

I am at 🫢 watching all the runners in action, their crew & pacer’s alongside them, volunteers at work to the finest, and random visitors/spectators with amusement. It’s so humbling to feel everyone’s ups & downs and everything in between. There’s a STORY… the WHY!!

Very happy 😊 to see many friends and meet many more new ones. Also very thrilled to meet some icons in the #ultrasworld & witness their journey live.

Did a thing @247elevenultra on past Saturday 7.11 - Started @foottrafficpnw de Couve at 0711, running🏃🏻‍♀️all 19x @7eleven in Clark County, WA only fueling with @7eleven 🥤🌭 🌮 🍉 🍌 🥜 🍭 🍧🍫🍦🥥 💧 Powered by #freeslurpees & a few taquitos later, we finished just shy of 2 AM (under 19 hours) with 56 miles total 🏁💥💪🏼

Big 😬🙄😘 @247elevenultra @vantucky_trailrunners putting such insane ideas into a REAL event. Absolutely grateful that crazy friends 🥹 @tifalopez @thecody5 for company, support, care🤩🤬😎😕🥵 🫠🤫🫪😮‍💨😵‍💫 & directions (literally would have been “MOventure” aka getting lost & extra miles 😜)

Surprisingly I managed to put together #christmasinjuly outfit in support of @why_racing_events collab with @foottrafficpnw Mornin’ Miles. Proudly representing @why.racing.events.ambassadors but Full Disclosure: Christmas 👟 with jingle 🔔, Long Sleeve Holiday Lama 🐑 Polyester top, Reindeer 🦌 Compression Socks = wardrobe malfunctions & blisters disaster 😓

Shoutouts 👏🏼 to everyone who made Inaugural #247elevenultra a success. It was so much 🤩 telling strangers all about #247elevenultra & how insane ultra runners are (My enlarged 7-11 🧾BIB apparently drew some attention 🤣)

This weekend I had the absolute privilege of pacing my friend and client @_fitnessandfrenchies_ through her first 50K trail race at Strawberry Fields Forever. @columbiagorgerunningclub Through injuries (real ones, like broken bones), surgery, medical diagnoses, a major job change, balancing home life, and even a DNF on her first 50K attempt, she kept showing up.

This wasn’t a small goal. This was a goal that took years to accomplish. It isn’t the distance that’s so impressive, although a 50K is truly incredible. It’s the dedication and commitment that it took to get to the finish line that is truly inspiring.

They say you should surround yourself with people who inspire you(and are a little crazy). I can say with my whole chest that I do.

That’s what made this weekend so special. Not the distance, but the people. Every one of them inspires me. Erica’s first 50K, @lahuisv that showed up to run a 10K loop with us and ended up running the ENTIRE 50K, our friend @vmo_run that came out to run a loop and cheer us on, @tomrunsdirt and @runnmikeyrunn for running multiple 50Ks on back to back weekends and being there to cheer us on, L.A .Sara(@_sarah_hallam a new friend we met at the race who traveled from LA to run her first 50K solo), @anndilord and @celeste.courson 5 weeks out from their first hundred miler grinding out miles in the mountains this weekend. All of them inspiring!!!

I guess I can just say that while the miles are magic, it’s the people you run them with that really do matter the most!!
