How do we even start…

The Conrad Challenge was of the most formative and memorable experiences ever. Who would have thought that in just a four day span of time, our entire lives would change? We met so many people, some we talked to for hours and hours, and many we will never stop talking to. We made countless experiences: whether in our room, the Space Center, or the hotel restaurant and lobby after 2 am.

However, we want to focus on the people. First off, thank you to the Conrad Challenge and Space Center Houston staff, the amazing judges, and sponsors, and of course, Ms. Nancy Conrad. You all make this event possible, and inspired us (and many other ambitious youth) to build, work, and think differently. Next, thank you to everyone who has provided us with the resources we needed to succeed: our parents, our supportive friends, and especially Aiden, Allen, and Steven for all their mentorship and help. None of our achievements would have been possible without all the support we received from you all. Additionally, we want to thank every single person at the Innovation Summit who made the Summit so great. To the mind-blowingly smart, talented and funny finalist teams: Team DeepTrust, Team BlueFlow, Team Kipos, Team Dravix, and every other team: thank you. Thank you for making this experience as fun as it was, sharing laughs with us, and making unforgettable memories together. Thank you for making it hard for us to say goodbye. We truly could not have asked for a better group of people to spend time with. Finally, thank you to the entire Alumni Leadership Council: thank you for mentoring us, giving us advice, telling us your stories, and making the Summit a blast. We hope we can be like all of you and inspire future generations of Conrad Innovators.

Thank you, Conrad, for letting us be a small part of your story. Our gratitude truly cannot be expressed by words. We hope that future generations continue to inspire, learn, and design, just like we did, and that they will one day look back on all that they’ve accomplished. We hope they continue to have as much fun as we did, finding joy even in the (sometimes) arduous journey.
