Lighting history 🗳️

At the Nashville Public Library’s Votes for Women Room, WingRail | Ceiling Cable | 107 brings light to an immersive exploration of the people, movements and ideas that shaped the fight for voting rights.

Designed by Tuck Hinton Architecture & Design with Kem Hinton as lead designer, the permanent exhibit commemorates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and Nashville’s pivotal place in its ratification.

Throughout the space, WingRail provides focused illumination for archival imagery, interpretive displays and interactive experiences while remaining quietly integrated into the architecture.

A space for learning, reflection and conversation, illuminated with intention.

Vodarian Spotlight: Alex Scott

Five+ years at Vode. Client Relationship Manager. Plant enthusiast.

Alex’s favorite fixture is a close call between ZipThree and NEXA, with NEXA getting the slight edge. He likes ZipThree for its innovative, award-winning design and the exciting new ways customers are putting it to use. NEXA stands out for its clean design and versatility. In Alex’s opinion, it’s simply one of the best-looking fixtures out there.

For him, both capture what Vode is all about: thoughtful design, adaptability, and simplicity.

Fun fact: Alex loves plants. It started with one his mom sent him for his apartment, even though he wasn’t particularly interested at the time. Now, he’s up to about 40 plants across his apartment and balcony.
If you’re in Dallas, you might spot him at a local nursery, Lowe’s, or Home Depot on the weekend.

Light, integrated.

Designed to work seamlessly within the architecture, Nexa brings clean, continuous illumination to a range of ceiling applications, from open ceilings to wood slat systems.

One fixture. Multiple possibilities. A solution that lets the ceiling and the space take center stage.

A little light. A little calm. A moment to pause.

Today, on the International Day of Peace, we’re taking a moment to appreciate the spaces that give us room to breathe, gather, reflect, and simply be.

Because sometimes, good design doesn’t ask for attention. It quietly creates an atmosphere where we can slow down.

Wishing you a peaceful International Day of Peace 🕊️

There’s a lot to look at here. The lighting doesn’t need to compete 📚

WingRail moves through the New York Public Library’s carved wood, brass and history with quiet precision. A minimal linear form.
