Looking at people looking at art has always fascinated me almost as much as the art itself.

I’ve always liked capturing not only a painting, but the person standing in front of it: their expression, the way they stand, how long they stay, what they happen to be wearing.

Very often there’s a harmony between the two. A color in their clothes that also appears in the painting, their posture, or some other detail that makes them complete each other.

For a moment they become part of how I see and experience the work, adding something that wasn’t there before and creating a version of the picture that exists only until they move on. by @voguegram

After more than ten years here, it’s probably time to say hi and tell you a little about this page and where it’s going.

It started as a personal moodboard, a guilty pleasure, or rather a guilt-free one, since nobody really suffered from it.

I posted places I liked, moods I was in, jokes (good and bad), and whatever caught my eye. Somehow, quite a lot of people subscribed, and the page grew to over 800k followers.

It was never meant to be a business or something to monetize (which was not very smart on my end). I just kept sharing things I liked, appreciated or smiled at on the internet.

But over time Instagram became less friendly to this kind of content, even with the authors credited. Copyright warnings piled up, the account was blocked twice, and tagging the owner isn’t enough anymore.

So that left me with the question of what to do next.

Fortunately, ten years of curating (a more comforting way to say procrastinating) were not entirely wasted. They gave me a pretty good idea of what I like to find, notice and share.

So the plan is not to change the page completely, but to continue in the same spirit, this time with more of my own content, a bit more purpose behind it, and a lot less copyright anxiety. Places worth going to, things worth seeing or trying, and whatever else I come across and think is worth sharing.

Many of you may have appreciated this page in its previous form, so I hope you’ll have a bit of patience with the new one and enjoy where it goes from here.
