At any moment, you can book a job that makes little you beam with joy!

So don’t give up.

The email that led me to this job was email #290 out of 300 emails sent, just trying to get my voice out there. Email #290 put me in the inbox of an agent who gave me a chance!

Reality insight: I haven’t booked a job in over a month, but a job I recorded back in February that meant so much to me... is now LIVE, and I can share it! So here it is.

I’m Joy, the Keebler Elf, for Ferrero Foodservice USA. I’m so grateful to be a part of the Keebler Elf Cast. Growing up, I always wanted to voice a character who looked like me and someone little Black girls could see themselves in. Getting to be that character for someone else is something I’ll never take for granted. ALSO, it won me “cool points” with my nanny kids.

So here I am sharing my JOY with you!

Thank you, Keebler cast, for trusting me and for having me be a part of such a fun, collaborative session. Thank you for your kindness; I can’t wait to do more work with you.

ALSO-
For my voice actor friends: KEEP dreaming, KEEP emailing, and KEEP trusting your instincts. If I can do it, so can you.

I thank God for placing my voice before the right people. 🤍☀️ by @voicedbydom

I had the privilege of collaborating with some amazing women on a project covering maternal mental health and postpartum depression.

It’s an honor to use my voice to talk about things that matter, and that hits close to home for some of the wonderful mothers in my life. Also, it helps that the script was so beautifully written.

Watch and share this PSA: Beyond The Blues.

Not too long ago I did a couple of TV spots for, “Montgomery Moves You.”

It was such a fun team to work with and super sweet to share with my Aunt and family in Alabama. 🖤 by @voicedbydom

What a beautiful time it was to be surrounded by dreamers. 🤍 So fun to meet people who have poured into my career and that are growing with me. Thank you VO Atlanta 2026.

All I can think about is how proud my dad would be of my progress.

Thankful for his sacrifices that allow me to pursue my dreams freely. 🎙️🖤 by @voicedbydom

Our voices matter – but so does how we use them 😉

Join me as I moderate this amazing faith-based panel (the first of its kind!!) at @voatlanta; where we will talk faith & integrity while navigating this crazy busy (and sometimes unforgiving) industry!

Huge thanks to @jmcdemos (for accepting this panel idea and being in this amazing lineup), @tracylindleyvo, @voicedbydom, @katieleighvo & @chloe_voice_actor for being willing to open up their hearts on stage for this! It’s gonna be amazing! I cannot wait to see you all in March!

God is GOOD! 🙌

Psst, if you haven’t bought your ticket to VO Atlanta yet, you still have time! Use my code to get $100 off!! Type in VOA26-LEIGHTY-100 at checkout!

A smattering of Sunday encouragement. Why? Because we all deserve a little hug, a little bit of “I see you working toward that goal.”🥹 by @voicedbydom

There’s something really cool about a team hearing your read and connecting with your creative energy.

Or that feeling of doing an audition and knowing you feel good about it. I’m honored to be trusted on projects, it warms my heart and expands my belief system every time.

Booked a VO job last minute while about to travel off to Miami and I was fortunate enough to be connected to Juan at @panoramikaudio ! Not only is he a VO talent of 11 years but he has a beautiful space to record. If you are traveling in Miami and need a spot to record - here’s the place to go! Thanks for everything! by @voicedbydom
