Out today: @the_reds_pinks_and_purples’s ‘True Love Daydream EP’, created by Donaldson at the same time as ‘Acknowledge Kindness’. Donaldson eloquently describes the EP as “a little boat set adrift off the shore of the main album”. Listen and order on new limited-edition ‘British Green’ cassette with the ⛓️‍💥 in bio.

Here, separated from the album, the music has space to ebb and flow, lingering in shimmering ambience. Three of the songs on the EP are atmospheric instrumentals, a slight departure from Donaldson’s classic songwriting, yet retaining the emotional depth that makes the music so captivating.

Coming up soon! November 1st at @thelexingtonlondon - @deradoom (Decisive Pink, Dirty Projectors) + @masonlindahl

Tickets on sale now via Dice

Fusing elements of indie rock, avant-garde electronic music, dub, and dance rhythms, Deradoorian is the name Angel Deradoorian works under as a solo artist. She launched said solo career after making a name for herself as a member of Dirty Projectors and collaborating with artists such as Avey Tare and Flying Lotus. Her albums, including 2015's 'The Expanding Flower Planet' and 2020's 'Find the Sun', are cosmic song cycles informed by her spiritual journey. After collaborating with Kate NV under the name Decisive Pink on 2023's heavily electronic 'Ticket to Fame', Deradoorian added that sound to her already jam-packed approach on 2025's 'Ready for Heaven'.

‘Ready for Heaven’ deals with heaven and earth, damnation and salvation, and using intelligence against rampant, naked greed. It is a classic forty minute set of inquisitive pop songs, blessed with a lightness of touch and a sharp focus that can’t help but charm the listener. It conjures up some last, faint afterglow of the old belief that an electronic, programmed beat can smash itself - and you - into another, more egalitarian consciousness.

--

Support comes from Mason Lindahl

Described by friend and contemporary Hayden Pedigo as “the greatest living guitar player,” Mason Lindahl’s “austere, gothic flamenco…dares you to submit to this odd and immersive sonic universe” (Uncut). The North Carolina native’s solo instrumental debut Kissing Rosy in the Rain, released in 2021 via Tompkins Square, was praised as “gorgeous” (Petal Motel) and “a minimalist gem” (Everything Is Noise).

Guitarist Mason Lindahl — whose “unabashedly beautiful” (Aquarium Drunkard) sound “balances the romantic dynamics of flamenco and the meticulousness of Windham Hill with the unguarded qualities of improvised music” (Pitchfork) — will release a pair of new albums, Joshua / Same Day Walking, this fall via Mt. Brings Death. by @void_artists

**NEW BOOKING**

Thrilled to be working with The Reds, Pinks & Purples for a March 2027 UK tour, visiting select cities on a long awaited return!

Longstanding champions of melancholy jangle and bruised indie, @the_reds_pinks_and_purples swerve toward bigger sounds, specifically citing California by American Music Club and 16-Lover’s Lane by The Go-Betweens. Eschewing the myriad pitfalls of those who translate intimacy onto a grander scale, the new record only amplifies the anguish and anxiety that crested out of his quiet comforts in the past, burning them into celluloid wonders rendered in vibrant hues

17.03 Glasgow @monoglasgow
19.03 Birmingham @hareandhoundsbrum

Coming up soon! Friday September 18th at @richmixlondon - @immersion_hq (@mayanewman & @colinnewman____ ) + @bunkr303

Tickets on sale now via Dice

Immersion are Malka Spigel and Colin Newman best known for their work with Minimal Compact and Wire. The duo’s work as Immersion provides an outlet for their ongoing fascination in crafting enthralling, unique musical soundscapes.

The project emerged in the early 1990s and has always prided itself on a diversity in approach and an ability to be both self-contained and a vehicle for collaboration. 1999’s Low Impact & 2018’s Sleepless cover very different aesthetics.

More recent work has seen Immersion collaborating with the likes of Tarwater, Laetitia Sadier, Ulrich Schnauss, Scanner, Thor Harris, Cubzoa & now SUSS in their ongoing Nanocluster series of events & albums.

The couple also have a weekly music radio show called Swimming In Sound and play in the band Githead, alongside Robin Rimbaud (Scanner) & Max Franken.

“Immersion manages to achieve a strong sense of human connection between these inseparable post-punk legends and other creative beings” – The Quietus

“They’ve created an extreme, something to be spoken of alongside the great albums of the century, and something that utterly holds its own with the sui generis work of Post Punk’s purest and most quality-minded act, Wire” – Rock N Roll Globe by @void_artists

📣 NEXT WEEK! PRAM + SIMON & THE POPE. Friday 4th September

🎟 Tickets on sale now via The Piper website

🌀PRAM formed in the late 80s with a sound that ranges from exotica, Krautrock
and the forgotten film soundtracks. Inspired by the likes of The Raincoats and The Slits and contemporaries of Stereolab and Broadcast. Pram have always sounded like they make up their own rules, including an inventively open approach to rhythm and timing.

💥 South coast duo SIMON & THE POPE (Simon Charterton and John Pope) bring their mesmeric drum, bass and vocal grooves to The Piper. Drummer and singer-songwriter Simon Charterton played drums in the late 70s with post-punk outfit The Homosexuals and the post-sensational Alex Harvey Band before forming John Peel favourites The Higsons and topping the early to mid 80s indie charts.
