old projects i never took better photos of!! by @volantapeng

if history is a circle, 2018

i sincerely wish this was a smooth vase. it is so heavy and lumpy and thick. but i love it too. will publish full text in a few days <3 by @volantapeng

the classic choker, 2019

miss making these! by @volantapeng

glass choker, 2019

simple moldmaking techniques to create a plaster neck and then i (ie my professor) slumped a thick piece of glass over it. it looks better than this IRL, i've done a lot of shaping and sanding since this photo and also drilled two holes for a potential chain of sorts! it feels so nice to wear something that is definitively yours. i'm also running out of stuff to post! 🤪
anyways hope y'all are safe! love you by @volantapeng

mirrored two way cuff, 2019

these cracked when i bent them and they flake off w time but i sort of love that? also love when jewelry is almost unwearable and restricting. i used to have this idea for an acrylic table where in between the legs would be little shelfs, one of the shelfs a one way mirror and one of them a two way, so by looking down into the table it created an infinity of objects... by @volantapeng

fake nipple ring, 2019

i use eyelash glue on these to help them stick. they also act as a nipple cover! want to start making these in clear acrylic and maybe with different rings... by @volantapeng

weight of desire, 2018

giant resin piece w transparency inside... not my best resin work but it's a good concept. very heavy/big/awkward piece! i also made all the rings by hand and i am never doing that again!!! by @volantapeng

acrylic pendants, 2018

the first things i ever made in jewelry class. these were meant to be earrings but they're too thick and heavy for the ear. the clear one cracked and i remade a new one to match the red. i wear these most often and they're also the most comforting, being light and weighty.
in my top 3 designs by @volantapeng

acrylic rod cuff, 2019

my favorite earring so far! i don't have my ears pierced and i only make things i can wear (piercings TBA in the next five years). the rod moves up and down like one of those wooden block toys for kids and also spins. i also lost the little piece at the bottom which, as all jewelers know, is hell to find.
definitely in my top 3 in terms of design by @volantapeng

chain belt, 2019

i bought the knot from a vendor in chinatown, maybe on mott st? 7 for two and i originally picked out what i thought was black but ended up being brown and quickly went back to exchange them (black is an unlucky color). i really want to start making these knots someday by myself by @volantapeng

CAVE hollow belt buckles, 3D printed by my friend Ken
