The new Volta 'Cellotron', crafted in partnership with @glasserny, features an incredibly realistic cello tone and modern aesthetic! This one-of-a-kind instrument features a carbon fiber body, built-in speakers, reverb, and Bluetooth!

Thank you Valorie Tatge for the demo! 👏

First time plugging in my new Volta Violinatron 6-string 💜 No plan, no makeup, no perfect take. Just me and some gear I love, finding out what this fiddle can do.

I HAVE to shout out my friends/mentors @caseydriessen and @mattbellviolinist for showing me the entry down the rabbit hole. I am so inspired by you both AND so grateful for the encouragement! 🙏🏼 I’ve promised myself I’ll create more and worry less about polish. This is video no. 1 of many.

I’m building a looped cover of a Dan Fogelberg song I love, stay tuned for the finished version!

What a way to open our 2026-27 season. Thank you, Oklahoma City, for filling the hall for America the Beautiful: A 250th Celebration.

@martogalan brought the house down on electric violin with John Adams’ The Dharma at Big Sur, and Music Director @mickelthwate led the orchestra through a night we won’t forget. Here’s to the season ahead. 🎻🇺🇸

That’s not a regular violin 👀⚡

Our Honorary Concertmaster @martogalan is going electric this Saturday for John Adams’ The Dharma at Big Sur 🎻🌊

Adams wrote it for six-string electric violin and drew inspiration from the wild California coastline. It debuted when Walt Disney Concert Hall opened in 2003, and it sounds like a sunrise over the Pacific. Dreamy, soaring, and totally unlike anything you’d expect from an orchestra.

And Marat is the perfect person to play it. He literally invented his own hybrid electric violin, the Violinatron!

It’s all part of our 250th celebration with Gershwin’s An American in Paris and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances 🇺🇸 Seats are going fast, so don’t wait!

@voltastrings and @glasserny have teamed up to make a spectacular hybrid electric violin with its own built in amp and speakers. This one has reverb on board, also.

You can use the speakers to play completely unplugged or you can use them as monitors while plugging into your pedalboard and amp. Or you can turn the speakers off and run as a passive electric fiddle. by @voltastrings

What I’d tell someone starting out in this industry…

Don’t be afraid to put yourself in spaces that aren’t “traditional” for your instrument 🎻

Try new things; new venues; new avenues for having people listen to your music 🦋

Sometimes the room is full and sometimes you’re playing to 0 people, keep going. 🤍

BE BOLD.

Thank you @mockingbird.denver @sunsetjazzcafe @theorchestratormusic for having me out, what a beautiful night of flow and alignment 🫶🏼
