As the day comes to a close and I reflect on the second anniversary of my mother's passing, I've realized a few things.

Grief is ever-changing. It's fluid. Some days, I still can't believe my mother has departed from this world. There are days when I deeply mourn not only her, but also the person I was before she died. And then there are days when I find peace in knowing she no longer has to endure the hardships and complications of this world.

I see pieces of her everywhere... in myself, in our family, and in others. I think about the way she raised us, the countless little life lessons she taught, and how she would have handled different situations. Even in her absence, her wisdom and influence continue to shape the way I live my life.

I also find myself thinking about all the things she'll never get to see or experience. There were dreams she had, places she wanted to go, and goals she never got the chance to accomplish. That reality still hurts.

I think about her often, and I miss her dearly.

Thank you, Mom, for everything you did and for the legacy you continue to leave through the lives you've touched. Your love, your lessons, and your strength live on in us every day.

Anyways ... Ma, continue to rest well. One day, by God's grace, I'll see you again on the other side. ❤️ by @voluminosity
