2014 xc70, met the man who owns it, forgot to take a better picture…

#volvo #milleniumfalcon #dailydriver #volvowagon by @volvo.240.lr

i’ve been meaning to run a series of pictures that attempts gets at why i am the way i am. here’s the first photograph of me as a youngster next to or in a volvo, in this case a 1966 amazon.

unfortunately, this car caught fire… my dad tried to work on it, but this was before youtube university so despite his best efforts didn’t get it going on his own. the car was my grandfather’s and his friend in yountville took the restoration on. eventually my grandfather gave the car to the friend who fixed it, i bet it’s out there somewhere running around.

i plan to share a few more pictures of me and i think y’all will perhaps see where i’m coming from.

cheers!

bob myers has been working on my cars since i first got to arkansas 10 years ago. back then it was just the silver 245, how things change. he’s retiring and i’ve been hanging out to help him clear his shopyard, and to learn stuff about cars.

we got the first of two #zenithstrombergcarburetor for the 142 put back together… mostly.

big thanks to @joecurto_carburettor for the rebuild kits, and the bypass diaphragm bits.
