My sweet Alex,
Happy 30th birthday, my baby 🩷

Today you turn 30, and my heart feels so full watching you step into this new chapter. You’ve grown into the kindest, strongest, most quietly brilliant man I know, and I get to wake up every day proud that I’m yours.

These past 11 years with you have been my favourite story — the lazy mornings, the way we still lock eyes across a room like teenagers, the Joburg traffic rants, Trance parties, the Warzone marathons I pretend to hate but secretly love because they’re yours.

You’re my safe place when the world gets too loud, my loudest cheerleader when I need a lift, and my favourite human to build silly, beautiful memories with.

At thirty you already carry so much goodness, so much steady love, and I’m ridiculously excited to watch what this decade brings you — all the dreams, the wins, the quiet happy moments, and every adventure we’ll chase together.

Here’s to your best year yet, and to a lifetime more.

I love you more than words (but I’ll keep trying anyway) 🩷 by @vonilla.milkshake
