Long time no see, hope you’re doing well. This was meant to be one of the beginning of the year illustrations I make, but man, half of the year flew by already. ahhhh I am beyond excited for this film to come out in the summer. Three years gone by slow and fast at the same time, it’s insane. I didn’t join the previous dtiys, so im really happy to draw one this time. It took me a while. I watched the teaser so much :D n u should too

I watched like 15 movies or long form content while doing this or something. From mini home tours, deep sea creature documentary, trolls movie and corpse bride, etc etc

WANTED: Mongoose Snake-Hunter
I was inspired by the rivalry between mongooses and snakes so this character was created!! I hope you enjoy my sculpture!!! Mongooses are so badass, go search them up. 🐛

I had an initial concept art and then I tried my best to follow that, getting there tho was trust the process. it look like mewtwo at some point and I thought I would make the snake out of papermache but I end up using lots of tinfoil, tape, and applying a paper towel on top, I dry brushed over it and im happy there is quite a lot of texture! I had a lot of fun making small details including the venom bottles and the axe weapon. Snake looks too happy oops… The materials I used for this piece are: Polymer Clay, wire, wood base, sticks, cardboard, tinfoil, masking tape, paint, canvas fabric, felt, paper towel, and resin

I feel old, my joints and butt ache. Time is going by too quickly for me, I know this year is gonna be one interesting year. It’s been busy already :,) I need juice, I’m going through juice withdrawals.

i drew oatmeal’s OC in their environment and inserted my OC too, as if they crossed paths. They could take a smoke break together haha. thank you oatmeal for your epic character, I really love drawing her!

This environment was really challenging for me but it was fun to try! I feel like I haven’t done an illustration in a while so I’m glad to be able to finish this. It’s 2026, isn’t that crazy. opossums r cool, I think. I started this on Halloween but then I ended up drawing trees and so I took longer
(´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`) to finish. I lasso tooled a lot for the trees, I hope to get better at using the lasso tool. Make sure to eat, drink water, take breaks, and have fun! See u next time 🐛

Ps I’ve been thinking of snail Mail or sticker clubs, it sounds like a lot fun to do. I’m not sure if anyone would be interested but I would have a lot of fun trying to create one. I’m going to think about it… the year is ending soon too, wow time sure flys by. Let’s have a fun last two months of the year!

to be honest, I struggle to give out business cards. This year I thought if I did life drawings, I could overcome the initial talking process. It unexpectedly went way better, and I would be lying if I didn’t cry a lot after the trip. Even now as I’m writing. 🐛🫜

I’m truly grateful and appreciative of everyone I came across. These life drawings gave me the courage to talk to others and it was very rewarding with all the conversations I was able to have. What’s crazy is that I don’t really know who I’m drawing most of the time… There was a moment when I was drawing this super cheerful bald guy lol… his energy was radiating. I didn’t think much of it but as a few seconds went by, people constantly went up to him and he was signing! I had no idea who this guy was and when I finished the drawing, I felt really bad and scared because I had no idea who he was. After some pacing around, I got my courage back up to give it to him, because after all, I hoped it brought a little bit of joy. It did, and I apologize while asking who he was. He is Kevin Lima, who directed A Goofy Movie, Tarzan, and Enchanted, etc. And he told me that I couldn’t have possible knew everyone and that I’m doing great. I’m glad I gave him a drawing. I’m also glad I was able to give many people drawings too. I end up drawing all sorts of people! The conversations I had with people wasn’t anything I could buy.

After the trip, some people started tagging me in instagram stories that I drew them and messaged me that they liked it, or they appreciated it. I couldn’t believe it and this concept of just trying to give out my business cards worked way better than I imagined. It made my trip so memorable and I was able to talk to so many people. I also thank LightBox Expo for this amazing event that connected so many wonderful people together. Wow, what a year.

stretching, my way
Does anyone stretch like this too?

I hope yall are doing well, I feel like I haven’t genuinely made art in a while and I’ve been making all sort of stuff like printmaking and ceramics this past year in school. Which is cool, but maybe I should start posting on instagram like a digital sketchbook or dairy. I’m not sure. LightBox is super soon, that’s super exciting, this month is going by super fast. And it’s crazy to think that 2026 is in a few months, ew wait what. Anyways I sort of miss sharing stuff here, even though a few people are able to see it, it’s nice to look back at the posts myself. going to LightBox Expo this year!!! I’m excited to see some old friends and meet new people! 🐛🐛 let me know if you’re going!!!

Last year I went for the first time and it was an absolutely amazing experience. I made a vlog on YouTube about my experience and submitted to the LBX vlog contest and was really fortunate to win tickets to this year’s convention! I was so shocked because I wasn’t sure about going this year! Thank you so much @lightboxexpo Super excited to go again! 🫜🫜🫜
