I was one of those kids who mimicked movies so much my mother would beg me to sit down somewhere and STOP. 😂 When I said I dreamed of being an artist, I was told I needed to get a real job.

But the Dream has been my only language.

Through fear, bills, doubt, rejection and all the times common sense probably said, “Girl, get somewhere and sit down,” I kept going. Every project gave me another skill for the arsenal. Every relationship grew me up. Every rejection became part of my moral compass. For years I thought I was doing too many different things. Producing. Directing. Editing. Music. Design. Strategy. Tech.

Turns out I was collecting tools.

And now I’m getting to use damn near all of them.

Last Tuesday, Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself, a project I had the opportunity to Produce, was announced to the world. And after losing my grandmother earlier this year, I understand the weight of moments like this a little differently.

This one hit different.

Jamie, thank you for the trust. Watching that incredible mind work up close has been a masterclass. Marcus King, thank you for the friendship, trust and all the new adventures. And shout out to The Foxxhole team, my fam, the wonderful Ms. Jackson 😜. We makin’ history again.

Sometimes you get so busy trying to define the dream, you don’t realize you’re already living it.

Let’s see what this level unlocks. 🎮

16 years later and you are a high no drugs can match. Thank you for making me laugh, through my hardest season and always when I least expect to. And for walking through darkness with me, like we’re the light. I’m grateful for every moment we’re still blessed to have together. Also… thank God you’re going gray first. Happy Birthday, love.

Writing my Granny’s obituary confronted me in a way I wasn’t prepared for.
Not because I didn’t know who she was.
Because I suddenly realized how impossible it is to condense a whole woman into a few paragraphs.
A mother. A grandmother. A survivor. A woman who once had dreams of entertainment before life asked something different of her.
You start with dates and relationships and accomplishments… but none of it fully captures the person you could call and immediately feel your body relax just hearing their voice.
That’s the part that’s hard.
Social media makes things feel official in a way my heart still hasn’t agreed to.
As long as I hadn’t posted, some part of me still felt like I could still call her.
Still hear: “Hey Bonnie.”
Still hear her laugh. Still hear the rhythm of her thinking.
I hold in my heart the memory of the day she suddenly told me, “…don’t give up on me.”
I was too afraid to ask what she meant.
But at the same time… I think I knew.
I used to think the legacy she fought hardest to protect was her house.
Now I think it was us. The continuation. The possibility.
The way she said my name when she knew I was carrying too much.
Maybe legacy isn’t what we leave behind.
Maybe it’s what keeps speaking through people after we’re gone.

I love you Granny!

When the universe says keep going, you listen.

Our team just got a GRAMMY nomination for Jamie Foxx’s “What Had Happened Was.” In the middle of breakdowns and dark days, I’ll take every bit of light God throws my way — and this one hit different.

Thank you @iamjamiefoxx for letting me play in your sandbox. I’m equal parts humbled, hyped, and hungry for what’s next.

Working with Marcus King @marcusking2644 has been a masterclass in intuition, faith, and discernment. He doesn’t just teach you how to win; he shows you the artistry in the pivot and how to steady the ship during the inevitable storms.

Everything we’ve created, thus far, feels like we’re time-stamping culture. Comedy, community, and legacy in one conversation.
